Hello All, I know I have asked this before and I was told about a team event in Newcastle.

BUT.

I was hoping that people would be able to once again point me in the right direction.

I am looking for team events (any format) for our team to enter.

I know Dusk Till Dawn has one but I am awaiting them to post the dates for 2009.

I know the APAT have one or two, but like most, I am waiting for them to post their 2009 schedule.

The one in Newcastle was great but getting ten players to commit for a weekend trip was a very daunting task and I was unable to do it in the short time I had to confirm with them.

Our team is in Wakefield and we are willing to travel to places such as Manchester, Blackpool, Liverpool, Nottingham and possibly beyond.

Can anyone help?
See you at the final table....

Hey Gang,

Thanks for your interest. I will keep you in mind if we need players.

I play in a Pub Redtooth Poker League Tuesday and Thursday night & I host a Pub tournament each month. I have played in this league for over 3 years now.

We play at the Lord nelson Pub in Crigglestone (Very Near Wakefield).

Our team is called Nelly's Heroes, we just got team shirts and have a team sponsor.

We have a Facebook group that you can take a look at called Nelly's Heroes, but you have to play at in at least one league night or a pub tournament before you can call yourself a Nelly's hero. LOL

Anyway, it is basically a group to help take players game to the next level. That is why a hand full of us are planning to give the APAT events a go.

We can't wait until the new schedule comes out.

Plus our team is chomping at the bit to play in our first team event.

So check checkout [linik removed - mod] the league we play in.

[link removed - mod] the Redtooth Facebook group I created.

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=28523389450 the Nelly's Heroes Face book group I created.

Anyway, I am still looking for team events and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time

Hi Sean, i see you"ve qualified for the regional at Newcastle 30th Nov. Have you played any rgionals in past seasons ? if so could you answer a few Q"s on them :-

Is the chips/structure same as the locals ?
If you"re out before the 1st break can you rejoin after the break ?
Hope they"re better run at the regionals

their RULES are very vague and dubious, also changeable according to TD"s spine.

You have good strike rate on Tuesdays, we play on Weds and we average 10 "players"
my GF has qualified for the regional and redtooth"s website doesn"t really give much info on what i"ve asked, unless you can direct me to more info cheers

see you at Newcastle

Hi Textfitz,

I am not sure if you have me confused with somebody else.

However, I have qualified for the West Yorkshire Regional that will be played at Batley on Nov 30th.

I am not going to Newcastle.

But I have been to regionals before.

Structure similar, but no 1500 at half time. Freeze out format.

Rules were very lax.

Lots of angling at my table until I called the TD over.

Lots of string bets until I called the TD over.

The only reply I got from TD was we have a lot of beginner players here.

Some people were getting upset with me as I was challenging all the rules. Rules that we (at the Pub) play by.

All I got was "we are not professional poker players".

I just wanted to save the integrity of the game and hoped that people played by the rules set out by the league.

PLUS table balancing was an issue.

Anyway I hope this helps.

I have set up a Red Tooth FaceBook group if you want to join to discuss the league and regional.

Good luck
