If you look on "My Tournaments" in the poker lobby, it should have the tournament listed there if you"ve qualified for it.

I"ve won a seat into Newcastle leg of Sky Poker Tour.

Played plenty of live tournaments at Rileys Snooker club, and The International in London, so I"ve had plenty of practice.

This will be my first "big" tournament as I normally play £20 freezeouts, and to tell you the truth......I"m bloody well looking forward to it.

Can anyone who played the other legs tell me what sort of skill experience normally play these events...? plenty of poor players or pretty good players at these events.

Daniel sums it up nicely in that there is the full spectrum of players on show.

You go from the "idiot all-in shove in mid position just before the dinner break after four hours play, with an average stack holding A9" to the "I know you"ve got ace rag and are shoving again, so I"m pretty sure my AJ on the button is dominating you, and I have you covered by a few thousand"

Not forgetting the " two all-ins hey, well I"m short-stacked and in the small blind, but I have AK, so in go my chips"

I beleive in that situation that the dealer was pretty kind to the A9 and rewarded his play.  But I"m not one for bad beat stories or anything like that.

They are good events, but as someone said to me at the bar during one of the later breaks with a shake of his head,

"It"s not APAT is it Leigh"   ;D

Newcastle Leg of sky poker is full up.

I think that there is another leg of this tour due before the Grand Final in May 2009.

Swansea.....

Why has Sky Poker done all their legs in the northern half of England and none in the south of England...?

Is it because the southern casinos are too busy to fit Sky"s tour into their schedule...?

Maybe they will in the future,as i have a feeling that Sky poker is becoming more popular to the poker masses
