All-In - The Poker Musical
« on: November 29, 2008, 13:19:30 PM »
It"s scary what you find when bored on a Saturday, and yes I had to download the soundtrack on ITunes, absolutely priceless.  Music sorted for next home game.

The Game

ALL IN compares the game of poker with the game of life. This is a story about the final nine players in the world"s largest poker tournament. These players represent the microcosm of America. Each of their "real life" stories are told through "songs about poker" that explain who they are and why they do what they do.

According to the New York Times, there are over 60 million poker players in America-over 100 million worldwide. Whether we actually play the game of poker or not, we all play the game of life every day and poker is life.

ALL IN is fast paced, witty, sexy and fun. It is chock full with double entendres and suggestive situations while allowing the poker/life songs to tell the story. ALL IN"s music is a varied as the different characters themselves with a mix of styles ranging from pop, country, rock, blues, jazz and musical theater.

"Through the lyrics of the songs and styles of music we see not only who these final nine players are, but we are able to see ourselves, our families and our world," explained Phil Hellmuth, the 11 times WSOP bracelet winner and record holder for most final tables, most cashes and international poker icon.
