APAt season 2 structure
« on: August 11, 2007, 19:23:09 PM »
will the APAt season 2 national events have a running ante added to there structure the running ante might not seem significant but it can stop events turning into a crapshoot in the middle and later stages keeping the rate of knocks outs at a steady rate.
also does the ipoker MTT strucute include a running ante if it doesnt then can it be put to bluesq to get one inserted before the start of the online series the running ante at pokerstars is a major reason why there events never seem to end up with average stacks being forced to push or fold

minutes per level and starting stacks are only important if the right structure including a runnng ante is in place

Good point Iron, I like antes... I was surprised that they have never been in the live tourneys we have.

Don"t think ipoker has running antes.  It might be something they will add down the line, but I don"t know how much APAT will be able to persuade them.

the APAt might not be able to persuade them

but its something the APA should/could be lobbying for along with bluesq who i assume have alot of say on things like strucutre on the ipoker network

I would also support the inclusion of antes in the live events.

If we have antes in the live events, can we have the 150/300 level as well?

;D

someone has a slight obsession with the 150 / 300 level ..... (i do agree tho) and antes would improve the tournaments with their being more insentive to win more pots, affects the button, sb and bb play soo much later in tournaments

But if we put the 150 / 300 level, just look at how much creativity we"d be missing out on between events  ;D
