I"ve discussed running books on the League and Walsall with them and they do not want to do it right now.  We"ll add a book for some of our bigger events later in the season.

I think there"s a bit of an anomaly on the Briefing for this event....

Quote
Play is expected to finish at around 1.00am on day one.

Now, if my maths is any good, 15 levels at 45 minutes each, plus 1 hour 20 mins for breaks, take us to 02:35....?

I was just trying to work this out so I could set expectations at home as I"ll be driving home. However then realised that the finish time of day one is somewhat immaterial as I"ll be home in plenty of time for Dancing On Ice at 19:00!!!  :(

The published day one timetable is pretty much a guide. Previous events have generally played down to around 20 players (those making the cash), regardless of level, and then stopped - usually around the 1:00am mark.

Quick update on "TV" related matters:-

We will have the "In Poker" TV team of Dave Compton, (our own) Tony Kendall and camera crew at Walsall, reporting on the UK Amateur Championship, with highlights and interviews going out on Sky, the Thursday after the event.

We might also be live streaming one or both days of play directly from the casino, to the APAT site.  Watch this space.
