A reminder that Leg 6 of the National League takes place this Sunday (12th Apr) at 8pm on BlueSquare.

Registration is now open in the Lobby. To find it, click through to the Tournaments / Specials  / APAT tab.

For Leg 5 the Team had 10 registrants.  I am sure that we can approach (if not exceed) that number for this Sunday"s tourney.  Unfortunately, it is looking unlikely that my better (?) half, Linda (k/a linziwan), and I will be unable to compete in this tourney.

I am aware that some people were unhappy with blinds structure in earlier Legs - please note that an increased 13 minute blinds level clock will be in use for Leg 6.  This should facilitate more meaningful and genuine poker.

One piece of tactical advice to consider please:
Whilst this is an individual event, it is also a Team event.  Each individual"s contribution is vital to the Team"s chances of qualifying for the final event.  Therefore please use a modicum of judgement when you are actively participating in hands (of dubious strength) against fellow team mates.  Having said that, obvious soft play is unacceptable.

Happy Easter and good luck to all Team participants.

Looks like only two North London entrants tonight so far. I might have to come out of National League retirement to make up the numbers

Oh dear. I completely f****d-up one pot against Darren Shallis I should have pushed him off, then gifted him the rest of my chips with my AQ to his AK. I think I should stick to the cash tables.

Linda and I just got back from our trip to Nottingham today, Linda advised me that my Mother"s birthday was more important than playing tonight! Sometimes you just have to do what the wife says.

Bit of a small turnout tonight probably Easter not a good time to be holding the game with family commitments.

Well played to WiseOwl and good luck on the final table, more points for the team are always welcome.

Sorry to have missed out on the team point.

Well happy to have made third place as at one point I was down to 621 chips with the blinds at 125/250.

You played well to come back and that last little bit of luck could have seen you double up but it was still a good finish and great individual points.  We need to start getting two players to the final table to claim those team points :)
