Thank You Mr 56 of hearts

local live tourney £30 buy in and 114 runners

down to last 20 and top 9 get paid and i have 30k in chips blinds at 800/1600 - not great shape but not bad - average

on the button and after 1 limp (she was all in) and 1 limp i have  ac qc and raise it to 7k, blinds fold and the limper shoves with his last 10k so i call the remaining 3k (ish)

he turns over 56 hearts and hits the flush on the flop so im now azlmost crippled and after a few hands and orbits i have JJ on the button again and 11k left. another player is all in with their last 1600, the villian again calls and i shove all in, blinds fold and he thinks for a minute, by this time he has doubled up and a bit again and has 50k+ and says i fancy another gamble and turns the 56hearts again

(he gained the chips after a raise and call he on the button shoved with A6 - others call 1st with AQ the other with KK - AA6 flop and  no help from the other cards, so i have a bit of a read on the hands he"s playing)

anyway back to my hand

48J rainbow - i stand up and say - before the turn comes down - guarantee its the 7 - yep bold as brass it lands and no other pair on the board to save me

live casino tourneys are so soft but you need the luck to carry you through 110+ runners - had it been the usual 40-60 runners i reckon i"d have been in the money no problem

I"ve not been back to my usual game for a couple of weeks because some donkey called my AK all in with 5/6 os and hit a full house. Could understand if I had no fold equity but with blinds at 800/1600 I pushed over 13k. Most times you"ll run out winner but sometimes you just have to take a back seat and accept this will happen.  :"(
