Cheers Guys.
We have won several shots at the main event. Included in the price is a $1050 sat to the M.E. with one-in-ten getting a seat and that is exclusive to Laddies qualifiers.
There are other qualifiers too and I would hope to be able to play some side events too while I am out there.
Also, there will be online sats on Laddies prior to this in which we can try to win a M.E. seat.....so its onwards and upwards.

Ironically, and as a message to anyone who believes that the world is against them, I had made an AWFUL start to 2009 poker-wise but yesterday I played 4 and Final-Tabled 4, with the Vegas trip being my FIRST, 1st-place of the new year.
To get there, I cracked A-A with 6-6 when I rivered a 6 so I guess it was just my time.
Hope some more APATers are out there at the same time......how bout you Rob ?

And most important rule of all - If you have the nuts, the value bet size on the river is always ALL-IN... you will get called often enough to make it profitable.

That is quality.   ;D

And true. The standard of play in most Vegas poker rooms is considerably worse than in APAT tournies

me all in   AA $500    called by  6 8  off  he hits straight,,tropicana lolol

When were you all-in just out of interest?
i was bb,,,,a raise to i think to 20,,a re-raise to 60 and another caller,,i then pushed pre flop,,,first raiser called with 68 off,the others folded,,,he hit str8,,then started woopin it up lol,,typical yank lol,,,,i was already well up so didnt hurt,,,,was just highlighting the dodgy play lol,,,,,its  what u want to see really lol

ceasars is right in the middle of strip and saves a lot of walking,,and the rio is just up the road,,,you will love it,,i played main event 2006,,,if u dont have a good run and get knocked out early and as the field gets smaller they have good tourneys in the evenings $100-$200 entry with good payouts,,worth enquiring about,,,also opposite ceasars is the outback restaurant SUPERB STEAKS lolol,,, ,,,goodluck !!!!!

not a chance. WSOP was moved a few years ago to june/early july which is still term time.

So I"d either have to go AWOL or get sacked!!

I"m aiming to save up (or win) enough dollars to go there in Oct Half term 2009...but am only in the planning stages...the negotiations could take on Kaka transfer proportions

go to Arnold Synders website.....(pokertournmentformula) he tells you what goes on in every casino of every day of the week.

The best deepstacks to play, the buyins and clock and starting stacks.....basically everything including the skill and patience factors etc, he evan tells you what tourneys are suited to small ball or long ball, and also the tourneys to avoid.

Seems like a bit of a slog. I"m gonna be lookin at the ones at around $100 with around 100 runners and run through the day so that I"m not spending too many nights of my family holiday in poker rooms. I"ll go with the intention of spending £500 on poker in the hope that I can win more than £750.

Another PM regarding Snyder"s website has been sent Kenny.
