Totally agree about the structure.  It seemed too fast and turned into an all in fest too quickly.  It didn"t help being card dead throughout!  Not sure how I managed to survive - it wasn"t much to do with poker - just pushing most of the time and crossing my fingers.

Just ran QQ into KK, and all in next hand with K5 and ran into QQ!  Out 34th.

Out 30th. Called an AI from a semi-short stack with an ace against J10 and he hits both :(

Pushed with M of 4 into open pot with A10 suited and got two callers - 77 and AK :( :(

Night all.

I think the blinds should be increased to 15min then leave it at that. It"s a Saturday night so people should be ok with 1 or 2am finishes. Especially with APAT & GUKPT seats to play for plus the prizepool is already nice...

Loved playing tonight. Went out in 28th with standard 77 vs A10 but really enoyed the game tonight... made a few untimely moves when my K6 ran into KK inn the BB, 93 off suit ran into AK in the BB then Q2 offsuit ran into JJ in the BB... apart from that though loved the game tonight.

Can"t wait for the next. Good luck to all who cash!

Got some good hands early on then card dead for the last 11/2 hours
I agree that the structure was to quick, maybe 15 minutes would be ok

Congratulations to Brian and all of the finalists on a dramatic and exciting final table.

APAT will certainly look to increase the blind levels further for the next Online Championship.

If any of the top three wish to take up their option to purchase a seat for Cardiff, then email customer@apat.com by close Wednesday latest.

Thanks,

Des.

That A-5 vs Q-Q was certainly THE hand of the night !!......and I have to say VERY ul there Warwickman.
I firmly believe though that its not the hands you play but the ones you fold that win you multi-table tournies and I am sure that George (and possibly a few others) will remember berating me for a fold when we were down to the last 2 tables.
I made it 48k to go with the blinds at 8k/16k from early position, leaving me around 78k behind. It was folded round to Ant66, a fellow member of the Black Country Poker Club(We had three at tonight"s FT) and an ABSOLUTE ROCK !!
He pushed all-in for 83k and although it was only 35k more to me to win 153k, to lose would virtually put me out.
I folded my A-J, simply because I know the player. The fact that he told me he also had A-J made me feel a little sick, but I then went on a rush of cards, getting KK, QQ, AK and AQ within 5 hands !!
Was it a correct fold ?
Well most players who talk about pot-odds tend to be watching and my thoughts were that I was racing at best, but as Ant wont normally get out of bed unless he has A-K, I decided to wait for a better spot. On this occasion it paid off.
I am still learning this game but I set myself targets all the time and I can tell you that to win this Title makes me so proud.
I have been in great form recently, making 11 Final Tables from my last 28 multi"s , yet I won NONE of them !
Tonight I rode my luck at times (Sorry Matt !!) but I was due a win and will be there at Cardiff to collect my trophy.....hopefully, I will still be there AFTER dinner this year too !!
Many thanks to my mates at the BCPC for your support tonight and to George, a constant blind-stealing menace to my right tonight, we will arrange a tourney between our two groups, hopefully both at Leicester and West Brom, for later on in the year.
Thank-You again from one VERY proud Champion.

Hi Boing,

Congrats on your win. Thoroughly deserved. I thought u played very well. Still a bit sick about the 77 into 88 4 handed but THATS POKER :D

I wasn"t berating you but it did cross my mind at the time that cos he was your mate your were folding! Obv you know him much better than me and having watched more of the final I can that there was no soft playing going on whatsoever.

I think if u open in that spot and he shoves u have to call no matter what- but what do I know? U have the gold and I"m left ruing my best chance yet of taking an APAT Gold.

Well done again mate and hopefully see u in Cardiff.

George

Thanks George, I know what you said at the time made complete sense.....never thought that people might think I was chip-dumping though......was a decision based purely on WHO my opponent was.
Always appreciate your comments and I know what a class player that you are. I never thought I would get out alive when I was stuck inbetween you and Warwick with you BOTH chipped-up !!
Still can"t believe that I won it, but come and say hello in Cardiff and we will try and fix a game up between our two organisations.

Boing

Well played ... it was certainly an interesting fold and an epic final table.

Warwickman very solid throughout ... very lunucky to lose with the ladies.

AJ fold into a known foe, worked out in the end, but next time you call right?

I was enjoying George2loose"s play.

Not sure if I am heading to Cardiff but good luck to those who do.
