Tickets attempted delivery today, have to collect from Royal Mail.

Some disappointing news, Tuffers has a contractual obligation in Thailand over New Year and will not be able to host the Cape Town leg as expected.  A great shame as he was a great host and mingled with everyone, will be missed !! Got an e-mail from him today.

"I"m obviously gutted I can"t be back in South Africa with everyone.  To be honest I"ve only ever lost out there so hopefully it will be a good omen for the boys!  I"ll have a word with Beefy and make sure he puts on a good show.  Have a great trip."

So breakfast with Robin Jackman and Sir Ian Botham on the 2nd day of the 3rd Test in Cape Town, should be good.

A reasonable start to the tour, tied 20/20 series and a win in the one day series, only the second home defeat for South Africa since returning to the cricket fold, no mean achievement by the team.

Looking like a strong batting line-up with Strauss, Trott and Collingwood all showing form, hopefully this will be transferred to the longer game.

Only thing that needs to improve is the weather in Durban  ;D

Tour shirts and floppy hats arrived with the South Africa Tour branding, but most importantly the tickets have arrived. Now it"s just a case of getting myself organised and everything prepared for departure on the 23rd.

Video camera is now operational and have got myself acquainted with the editing software and loading up to You Tube.  Will attempt to complete a video over the next few days to fully test and publish here.

With all this rain and cold about, looking forward to getting away, although Durban is having a fair share of rainfall at the moment, will hopefully clear up before we get out there for Christmas.  Cape Town is tropical and looking promising  8)

Don,

Not one to complain, but I stumbled across a pic of the cheerleaders for the Nashua Titans which is where the first test is being played (which I don"t believe is on your itinery) and I have to ask, what were you thinking man ?

Get those flights changed and get that video camera packed.   ;D
