Nearly ready to go and boy can I not wait to get somewhere warmer !!

Five hours to get home last night from work, North London an absolute nightmare and Southgate, where I live, has three routes in and they all involve getting up steep inclines, wasn"t pretty !!

Soon we will be on daily updates and some picture and video coverage of the tour.  Slight relief that I"m not joining another tour with England one down in the series, Sunday was a bit of a worry, left the cricket for a while thinking it was going to be a straight forward draw and then turn back and we are about to lose !! At least they held on, hopefully the cricket will continue to be good in England"s favour !

Finally arrived in Joburg, now have overnight stay here and depart for Durban at 12:10pm on Christmas day, still planning to go for Xmas dinner in Ballito.

Flight ok, although very long.  Currently chilling in the bar sitting in the smoking room, very civilised I have to say, with a cool pint of Castle lager.  Two hours ahead of you guys, so it"s Christmas day here, so Merry Christmas to you all.

Some photos and hopefully a video up tomorrow.

Durban 2nd Test Day 1

After finally arriving a day late in Durban, we caught up on our sleep on Xmas day, the weather had been terrible and weren"t expecting much for Boxing day.  We did however awake to sunshine which was unexpected.  We wandered down to the ground which is only half a mile away from the hotel.

With Durban having high humidity we had booked hospitality, which is access to an air conditioned room, this was a result as it was very hot and close.  England lost the toss and we were fielding not a great start to the day !

It did however start well as for once the England bowlers got there line and length right in the first session, which was rewarded with two early wickets.  Smith and Kallis then dug in and the bowlers made them work for the runs.  They made it to lunch without further loss, we went for a lap round the ground to soak in the atmosphere and see what was about.  Quite a few scantily clad ladies and a little treat can be found on the video at around 3 minutes  ;D

Have been a bit pressed for time and made the major mistake of forgetting the battery for the camera, more detail later guys.

Suncoast Casino

Last night myself, Greenie and one of the party decided to visit the local Casino.  Found a restaurant called Havana Grill and enjoyed some huge T-Bone steaks, two bottles of wine and three Jack Daniels and coke, doubles, all for £30 quid each, great value.

We were asked if we wanted smoking or non-smoking and threw us completely, but of course went for smoking.  Then wandered into the Casino and noticed a Smoking Casino, this however was too much, no ventilation and we wandered back to the normal one.

Sat down at a Blackjack table and had two hours of play and some good cards, was fortunate to leave the table with a profit of 3000 rand, £300.  All the locals ended up betting on me as I was running so good so a few left with a profit as well  ;D
