I am looking for a ticket to the walsall game which i understand is hard as there arent many tickets and there are many players seeking.
I am currently on good form though and from looking at the games i have played it shows , i have mainly been playing in a league were each final has roughly 60 players i have played 3 in which i have come in the top 5 each time.
I am also playing in three larger event this weekend at the poker occasions in bradford where i hope to do well.
What i am looking for is a ticket in return for 75£ which it is worth and also i will give 15% of my winnings to who ever decides to sell.
I am happy to talk business :) if anyone is interested!!
mail me pete_pal@hotmail.com.
Cheers guys.

The Halfway House (Thurs) Jul 13th 2008 2.45pm      56     7

Sorry the first final i played in was actually 7th but i have made the final table every time.
The numbers in the left column are the amount of players and the right column is my position.
I do play alot my results in cash games at the local casino have been very profitable to.
I think if you have a ticket and are not that fussed about going then 75£ and 15% of what i win is a great Investment..

I"m sorry to continue this debate but I think there is a fundamental problem here.

Swapping percentages is a common practice in tournaments but the swap either involves like for like swaps where both parties are playing the same tournament or else someone will sell a percentage of themselves.

The value of that percentage is normally priced at the equivalent percentage of the buy in (ie 15% of my winnings from a £1000 entry tournament for £150.)

The basis for this assumption is that an average player I will win the value of the buy in over the long term (he has an equal chance of winning as everyone else).

In reality the percentage of the player"s winnings could be calculated as

Value of the percentage = % of stake * relative skill of the player

where the relative skill of the player would be 100% for an average player down to a value that has to be more than 0% for the worst player since it must be assumed that any player has a more than 0% chance of winning - even a player sat out could theoretically win a tournament.

This could also be shown as chance of winning 1st prize + chance of winning second prize etc etc and would give the same answer

Consequently the value of that percentage must be greater than zero and less than the value of first prize.

So, assuming the percentage has an undertermined value greater than zero, the question is why can you not sell the seat for more than it is worth?

The answer, I presume and agree, is to stop people buying tickets that they do not want and selling them for more than they cost?

If so then this is exactly what is happening here.

Therefore the rules should be changed so that either you can sell the ticket for more than it is worth (which I believe is wrong) or those players that do not want their tickets should be given to the people who were next on the list in the clickfest.

This could still be done by direct transfer without involving APAT handling funds, the only difference being that players are instructed who the transaction should be between.
