Season 2 Regionals - different question
« on: August 29, 2007, 13:31:55 PM »
Are the regional APAt tournaments going to be open to non-APAt members?

It seems the most practical way of selling tickets to these is at the venue on a first come first serve basis (ie like most of them), but if this did happen then how could they know who was a member and who wasn"t?

How do the casinos know who"s a member?

Erm..and would I have to make two trips to the venue...one to register and another to play?

Seems illogical, Captain!

Apologies if I"ve missed it somewhere but has it been confirmed which Scottish casino is going to be used for the Regionals?

So, someone who plays in one Bluesq APAT event is placed on a big list that is emailed to all the casinos that are hosting the regional APAT events?

Not yet Alan, no.  Season Two will start in October so this information will follow, as will Regional registration details.

Dan, its my understanding that there is a differing level of membership that would stop this

Anyone who is a member of BSquare can play in the online events, but is not entitled to play in the live events.

APAT has a new organisational membership level.  Blue Square and Grosvenor are both organisational members of APAT, as are two or three official partners that we still have to announce ahead of Season Two.  What that means is that any player joining APAT via these organisations will get a free full membership.
