To Tile or to Overlap?
« on: February 03, 2009, 13:47:53 PM »
Just a quick question regarding what ppl prefer when multitabling beyong their normal capacity.

Whats better? to have them overlapped and the tables with the least time left come to the front of the screen.

Or to tile and manange which tables you attack first in your own order?

Ive never overlapped myself but tried it today and quite enjoyed the expeirence.

I have always titled (4 tables, now 6 with bigger screen).

This is impossible though with PT HUD. Tried cascade but didn"t like it. Now back to 2 tables with HUD.

Okay, watched a bit of that. Tiling ftw.

How can you follow that and it can"t be enjoyable to play ?

loool

I dunno how he follows it but its def worthy of being speechless over!!!

I say you(or someone) multitables at max capacity+2 where its just not fun and everything is a bit too hectic and your timing out, not playing optimally.

50% via tiling and the 50% with a bit of overlap and reports back with some confirmation if it makes things easier... or is my todays urika moment a bit crap and not really worthy of an ulrika.

I would do it myself but Ive just done it already today and my brain seems to think its easier but not sure if its just my upside down logic hence the thread.

Uh-huh its ridiculous how competant and easy he makes it look.

In a wierd sort of way tho it does make sense, the tables that you need to concentrate on always come to the front, whereas if tiled they dont and its down to the players disgression which ones they focus on. So potentially you get the most "decision time" overlapping... if that makes sense?

well i thought i would give it a go, and have to say - it"s actually pretty good fun.

I played 10 tables on Titan - although dropped down to .05/.10 to protect my bankroll. I kept all tables topped off with max buy in, and just played the cards as they came - nothing funky.   I had PT running on the side, and waited til I hit 1000 hands - took around 75 minutes.

And the result - a loss of $4.63.  BUT, I was $30 down after 10 minutes, so end result not too bad.

The thing that surprised me most - I felt like I was playing WAY too loose and aggressive.... but when looked back at the stats I had a VPIP of only 24.5%, which is around 5-10% below my normal level for a 6 max table.

Great fun - gonna do it again!  (next time I turn MSN off though!)

I was surprised to hear that - it looked like he had a good read on most of his opponents  :-\

That CAN"T be profitable!
