Againts two players with these specific hands the JJ will only win <40% regardless of the Flop!
So IMO Fold for reasons stated earlier!
Of course you could shove and then flop a set as you would have - but you made the right decison at this time! (preflop)
There"s more to a hand of poker than just that one probability calculation though isn"t there. Reducing poker to a few calculations is quite depressing really. It"s a good guide but it doesn"t mean it"s the only piece of information you should base your decision on.
I think there"s an over reliance on the mathematics of poker hands. Probably a consequence of playing online too much. Sometimes it"s worth gambling even when the odds don"t appear to be in your favour if other factors compensate for the unfavourable odds.
You"ve got to add a bit sauce to your game is what I"m syaing, that"s what my gran always used to tell me when I"d sit by the fire place on a cold winters evening. We won the war cause we had more sauce than Hitler she"d tell me. Of course she had dementia and was kept chained to a radiator at the home they kept her in for her sake as well as ours, but I still agree with her.
