Steve, I don"t think there is a set time limit as to when the sale has to be made by. Des has stated in another thread that sales can still be made on the day of the event, but I would suggest that the recipient and yourself find some way of contacting Des asap after the sale is made.
With any luck, though, you"ll make it to the event - pretty sure you"ll be missed if you don"t make it
