Nice one Steve. Really chuffed for ya, a deserving Apat Champion if ever there was one.

Well played to Todd and Stuart also, top effort.

On a personal note, another top weekend put on by all the Apat team, thanks guys.
Hope to see you all in Cardiff.

Just arrived home.  Structure may need a little tweaking ;)

Well done to Steve who will be a great APAT Champion, and to everyone who made the final table and the money.

Special thanks to our guest update support team of Leigh Wiltshire and James Edwards who worked their socks off.

Finally, there is only one Tighty and Tikay.  Those two contribute so much time and effort for amateur poker for  absolutely nothing. Legends, huge thanks to both.

Great result, Steve, well done, a deserving champion.

Congratulations to the silver and bronze medal winners, Tod and Stuart, well played fellas.

Great to see 2 Central Division Poker Club Captains in the top 3  ;D

And congratulations to all the money winners in Walsall.

Big thank you to Des, Tighty and Tikay for what sounded like another successful APAT event - wish I"d been there  :(  And thanks to James and Leigh for helping Tighty bring the updates to the masses. Great team effort fellas.  :D

Big up to Des, Tighty and Tikay for the effort put into this and for another top weekend. I"m suspecting that they too are praying for "a snow day" - hope they get it!

Steve raises on button

Todd all in

Call, instantly

Tod KQ

Steve 97 Clubs!

Board 4 J Q 8

and

BINK!

10 on the river

counting chips now, Steve 1.7m

Pre-flop call with  9c 7c with stacks about even?

Slight correction needed here :)  Tod made standard raise and I shoved with suited conns - he called with KQ.....  subtly different complexion to the play :)

Just want to say well done again to Steve (and indeed the rest of the final table). I"ll have nightmares about that runner-runner straight for a while yet, but I had my fair share of luck on the way so can"t complain too much.

It was a brilliant weekend - so much thanks and appreciation to Des and the team. My everlasting memory will be of TK starting the final table commentary standing up and being very enthusiastic, and then 4 hours later slumped in the chair, mumbling that perhaps someone had raised, generally looking pretty forlorn... ;D ;D Great professionalism to keep going though.

Cheers, Tod
