Just arrived back in Ayr from the weekend (stayed at mate"s in manchester last night, roads not that bad  :D and wanted to reiterate all that has been said on this post already. Weekend was absoutely fantastic, camaraderie, banter and even the poker was brilliant.  As always, superbly organised and a massive thank you to the whole team.  Was great to properly meet so many Apaters and special thanks to my original table, Daniel "I"m his biggest fan you know" Kinboshi, Pilf, Rob and Alan for a cracking 6 hours before we were dispersed round the casino on Saturday night.  Poker certainly played second fiddle for a while.  After going so short early on sat, amazed and delighted to have made the final table.  Disappointed to go out so early but with the blinds at 1 million, 2 million (bloody felt like that  ;D had to push with something and knew I was well behind when the "call" came behind me.  Congrats to all the finalists and of course especially to Steve.  Cheers to the other Scots, well done Stuart on 3rd.  This is starting to sound like an oscar speech (mental note, only came 9th, calm down Alan!)Thanks again for everyone involved, played 2 Apat"s before but this weekend summed up superbly for me why so many people fight for those clickfests.  Been a while since I had so much enjoyment from £75 (anybody else been to Amsterdam  ;D  Please note I have never actually been to Amsterdam and that was for comic value (missus may read this  ;D

Cheers again all.

Alan Hursburgh, Horsborough, HORSBURGH!  ;)

JP Round knocks out Dean Plumley KK v er, 86

23 LEFT
I was on the button and with a 45k stack. Blinds meant all in steal was worth it as only had to avoid AA, KK, QQ which would make me a big dog. Unfortunately KK was in BB. Dean (Mr PokerBits) Plumley

For info, all of the pictures from Walsall will be up later on this evening, as will the tournament report.

If time allows, the video interviews will start to be posted from this evening also.

The majority of the interviews were done by the Sky team and I will publish them in full over the weekend.

The TV report from the event will be broadcast on the Sky Poker Channel: 865 on Thursday at 8.30pm and repeated on Saturday evening at the same time.

Great job done by all at APAT - Is the tournament report on the site yet?

Alan !! Didn"t realise that it was "the nice young man", as Caz called you last year, that final tabled and finished 9th.  :D

Well done fella !

Ha ha, thanks Ian and to Caz. "Nice young man" is certainly one of the nicer posts on here at the moment!  Had a fantastic weekend and final table just capped it superbly. Was disappointed not to see you and Caz there though.  Hopefully see you later in the season.  Take care, Alan

Thanks Mark, pleasure playing beside you on Sat and Sunday too.  The good poker was just a bonus on top of the cracking banter going on (well at our table at least  ;) Congrats to you too for getting so deep and remember, nothing wrong with that shove, better than Ace Rag.  I pushed with that type of hand a good few times, just didn"t get called  ;)  Take care mate and hopefully see you soon
