WPT Poker Mag
« on: February 19, 2009, 10:33:25 AM »
Hi All,

I"m just wondering if anybody has had the same problem that I"m having with this magazine.  I already subscribe to Poker Player and Inside Poker, but WPT had an offer last Septemberish giving away a copy of Poker Academy Professional software with a subscription.  Seemed like a good deal, so I whipped out the old credit card.

Anyhow, it"s now February and I"ve yet to receive the software, even though the mag has come through.  Three emails sent since December, one reply saying "we"ll look at it", and not much else...

Did anybody else go for this deal, and did you get the freebie?

Cheers!

i did not receive my free wpt chip set due to an error, for some reason if you suscribe by direct debit you dont recieve the freebie but if you pay one lot per year you receive a freebie i believe, that was two years ago and cant 100% remember if im right but i didnt bother to resubscribe because of that error.

Did it specifically say that in the terms and conditions?

Or did they just tell you that when you queried it?

My point would be if you caused enough of a fuss they might send it to you anyway - especially if it was ambiguous in the t&c"s.

I paid it all in one bunch, and normally wait for a decent offer to subscribe, as here.  How was your experience with their customer service, antthecat?  Mine"s been terrible, and that"s my real beef here...

from memory i only spoke to the marketing group and not wpt mag direct as the mag has no direct number. i would advice an email to wpt mag saying about your subscription, they should help you out.

Does anybody know the company that handles the circulation management for the WPT magazine?

Or if they do it inhouse even?

Hi guys,

I"ve recently taken over as editor of WPT Poker magazine.  The magazine changed publishers at the end of January. It"s now owned by Players Publishing, not Future. If you have subs problems from last year, you"ll need to get in touch with the subs people at Future (i think their number is in the front of the old mags).

As i"ve said in my first issue (Negreanu cover), would welcome comments and suggestions on the new look and direction. there should be plenty of changes over the next few months.

If it has changed publisher does this effect subscriptions? Feels like a while since I got the last issue which was early January I think.

thanks for the comments!

As far as i know, Future decided not to publish their final magazine, so there was a gap between their last one and our first magazine.

We now have a subscriptions line open so please forward any concerns to:

subenquiries@playerspublishing.co.uk

Hope you decide to keep up the subscription with the new publisher :)

Latest issue came through yesterday and looks good.  I"ll see what happens with the Future guys about my sub, and take it from there, but I"ll still be reading in any case.
