I think there will need to be some element of change.  The antes need to align more with the big blind and I"m not convinced that the 500 / 1000 level is bringing a great deal.  At the end of the day, the structure needs to work for all of us, and I personally cannot take 7 to 10 additional days holiday per annum to facilitate Monday am finishes.  I would think the team are largely in the same boat.  That does not mean that a slightly changed structure would not be a great structure.  It might encourage a bit more play in the early stages also...

The antes didn"t affect me at all in Walsall.  In terms of the players, I wouldn"t change a thing.  In terms of Des, Rich and the others who make APAT possible it does need to be tweaked.

They"ll still be the best-structured £75 tournaments in the world.

Des - any thoughts on the structure for this event? I know you are reviewing after the late finish at Walsall, but hopefully you might be able to leave as is and give it another go, especially given the fact that there are only 160 seats for Cardiff (didn"t we have 200 last year?).

Personally I thought the structure at Walsall was spot on, and if only Walsall casino had managed to make the Sunday dinner break a little slicker, the finish would have been just after midnight.  Would be a shame to reduce the structure at this point.

You"re such a loose player at times.  That sort of aggression will never see you progress in these events.

totally agree with this. Cant have Des and the boys having their mondays wrecked again. It will still be a top structure for £75 buy in anyway

totally agree Des.

Just the antes need to be in the region of 1:4 of the small blind. This enduces play in itself. At Walsall some of the antes were 1:9 / 1:10, which encourages tight cagey play, ultimately resulting in an overun.

Cheers

The money has been reserved on your card and will be taken in around two weeks time.  Standard process for an APAT.
