im sticking badman on a medium pair - maybe 10"s or jacks and he probably pegs you for AK/AQ hence his all in to stop you betting

if he has a pair there is only 4 possible holdings you have beat 55>22 and 8 that beat you although i cant see him having AA/KK/QQ as (personaly) i"d be looking to check raise you with these hands

cant put him on 3 of a kind. if he has a set of 3/7/9 again his all in doesnt make sense as hes losing possible chips from you

1. Bet less pre, I make it 1200.
2. as played fold to reraise pre or shove - are you set mining? what flop you like here?
3. as played after flop fold to all-in unless you are calling for this flop then call?

So confused with your line here think you have to call as played.

not sure you should have called the raise to start with, as he was putting a third of his stack so he was obviously commiting himself.

that said his push all in after the flop just seems a pre meditated move (hence him commiting himself) you have to ask if he had hit hard would he push?

smacks of ak to me, i would make a hero call! :P

but then again im an idiot!

Why the 5x raise???

then call off 1/3 stack to the reraise? Are you still prepared to fold now?

Unless badman has been 3 betting v regularly which i doubt then we are only going to be happy playing for stacks if we hit our set. Calling off a 3rd of my stack i certainly need a good reason to fold after doing so and the flop is about perfect as you can get without hitting a set for pocket sixes. So you have to ask what are you wanting to see?

Does he jam the flop with AK, yes but he also does it with every other hand that crushes you. He may have air but I would suggest thats a very small amount of the time.

quick ramblings but i would raise less and pass pre probably unless i felt he is doing this v light in which case i get them in but by raising less I should gain some F/E which you don"t have here.

Hope this makes sense shouldn"t try to reply at work..

Agree with all that"s been said. It is a perfect flop for you and after investing a third of my stack, I make the call thinking / hoping he has AK/AQ and won"t hit.

It is fair to say my pre-flop play was quite bizarre and I am not going to even try and explain my reasoning, as I"m not sure I understand it myself.   ;D

However, finding myself in the post flop position, a number of you were thinking as I was.  Which in itself is quite scary for those individuals who mirror my thoughts.   ;D

With 1050 in the pot already, I don"t think your bet of 2000 is a particularly poor one as you"re representing strength and I assume, happy to steal the blinds? When you"re re-raised though, you now have to be thinking you"re gonna be racing at best; you choose to go along with it and by doing so, you really have to play it to the death.

As some of you have said, I went for the why push unless you haven"t hit the board, so I guessed I was ahead and probably racing.

And as said, I have made my bed, so I called.

Chipaccrual: calls 10320
*** TURN *** [7s :3h: 9c] [5d]
*** RIVER *** [7s :3h: 9c 5d] [ :2d:]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
badman time: shows [ac qs] (high card Ace)
Chipaccrual: shows [6s 6c] (a pair of Sixes)
Chipaccrual collected 35890 from pot

Well done anyone who went for AQ or AK for that matter (close enough)
