Interesting, so this is not the first steps to Independence apparently.
All this bloke wants is a new flag.
If the voting figures are high for the flag choice then it might result in a high turnout in 2016.
I would rather them keep the Union Jack in any design but the one they have as a choice is not good.
Hopefully, when the choice comes they will vote to keep the flag they have now.

This is what I call Girl Power.

Ameenah Gurib is a scientist who researches medicinal extracts from plants (for real medicine, not pseudoscience).

Now she has only gone and become President of Mauritius.

I took a flight this morning and was sitting beside this girl in her mid-twenties. We shared a grimace about the too-loud announcements and a chuckle about us both having brought sandwiches from home for the flight. Haha, we went. Then I decided to have a look at the newspaper and she took out ..................a colouring book!

WTF!

It wasn"t like a child"s one either - it was a compact A6 booklet which seemed to be aimed at adults and she was using fine-tipped markers. But it was still a flipping colouring book. Checking on the Internet, I find that adult colouring books are now a thing.

This is what we have become. In a world of boybands, frappacinos, Kardashians and WAGs, we have reached a new low where adults are doing colouring books.

I have to admit that she did colour some lovely flowers though.

Come on JM, this girl was afraid of flying, and doing the colouring thing was a way to ignore her fears by concentrating on that. On the other hand, she may have liked you and indicated that as she was not on the iphone or pad, you could talk to her. Maybe missed an opportunity there. oops

My F.uck-It List

I was reading some people"s bucket lists on the interweb yesterday and I realised that a lot of people really want to do things that I have no desire to do.

So, mainly based on other people"s bucket lists, this is my F.uck-It List of things that I have no interest in doing before I die:

01 Visit Antarctica / Uluru
02 Swim with dolphins / jellyfish / turtles
03 Run with bulls
04 Bungee Jump / base jump
05 Yoga / meditation / be hypnotised
06 Chase a cheese down a hill
07 Drive a race-car / super-car
08 Eat insects
09 Ride a bull
10 Ride in a limousine / Hummer
11 Chase a tornado
12 Join the Mile High Club
13 Go on a game show
14 Get a tattoo
15 Milk a cow / shear a sheep

I"ve resuscitated this thread to acknowledge the death of a legend. The best basketball player in history - Meadowlark Lemon.
