8th of 199 in Betfair $8k g"tee ... played pretty well with no cards!

58th of 320 in GSOP Event 4 Pot Limit Omaha hi/lo ... again not much ammo ... shoved AK35 in to KKxx ... no ace ... no low hand ... GRRR!

Been playing micro cash sessions ... and leaving when I win a buy in ... so I think all is well except winning a fair share of the hands that have to be shoved.

GSOP Event 5- 124th of 856 - 120 paid ...

Crippled by a shocking fish ... KK into 943 rainbow ... quite what he was doing in the hand with 56o to my 5BB raise we will never know ... turn J ... I go all in for safety ... he calls ... and spikes the 2 ... OMG ... it is sick ... I want him to call ... so I have to take the 18% chance he hits simple as that ... but it hurts ... well actually the villain was so bad I want him to fold and give me his chips later. His 51k stack lasted 10 mins ... my 3k stack got me 15 places further!

It was a weird tournament ... I played the second level badly ... but AQs vs 55 race got me back in play ... quite a run of train crashes at the end of the tournaments at the moment ... this one if avoided would have been so sweet as had my chances to die ... notably only half stack lost when fairly short KT vs AT in T high board ... all the action then against the same guy ... JJ vs QT ... QQ vs K8 ... and then the exit hand.

Next time ... it"s a long old curve to get even on the Vol ...

Saturday Therapy?

$22 SH NL on Betair - 133 Runners ... AQ into Axx vs A5 ... turn 5 ... then TT into AA ... anyway.

Is Ascot the cure?

Probably not!

Had a bit of a bet (with a view to laying) Valenica to win the Champions league at 59/1 ... seems pretty big ...

Decent value ... ran very poorly despite holding a decent initial position ... back to level for the day ... hard to pick Palomar there!

Sunday turning into a nonsense of Satellite defeats ... latest version ... I shove with AQ to isolate ... and get called by K8o ... AQ vs A4 vs K8 ... only one winner there ... K on the river ... same guy takes me out AT vs K7 call ... turbo but still no need ...

May be the message is don"t play GSOP 8 ... but how can that be right?

Great structure - but cannot hack the through the night action!

Just finished 10th of 500 for yet another minor cash on Pokerstars ... last hand button A5 in AJ ... no help ... earlier KJ vs AK spike kept me alive so I guess a nice $195 ... to buy a ticket with ... and an early (poker) night ...

Epic attempt to win $200 ticket smashed up by running into two full houses ... earlier AA four times ... once beaten when AA into 844 vs A4 ...

... and that was the weekend that was ... looking forward to next weekend ... a lot of work to kill in between!

Feeling a bit mauled from last night"s play ...

AK into AKx vs KK ...

Just lost with KK vs AT to a flush on the river in $200 ticket game ... still well in play ... but not really feeling the breaks are there!

Looking forward to APAT events tonight ... two final tables last time ... what this ... dust?

Played badly in both the APAT events ... a real mixed bag of aggression and weakness ... finally shoving A4 (no real need) on the button into AQ ...

Earlier go to 15k - before going on a bit of raise - fold mission.

Also let cheap cards river me ... and then gave a few chips to short stack ... before doubling them up in a race ...

Made a lot of loose calls (quite happy with these) but didn"t have a lot of sense of where I was post flop hence highly variable play ... annoyed ... hopefully out of my system for tomorrow ...

ABC once at the 15k mark have gone a lot better ... (note to self)
