The GSOP just runs too late - albeit very tempting!

WCOOP 60 - I think I will play the 3pm kick off : 3am to bed is not is disaster if I am lucky enough to make day 2.

What are you playing?

What a dramatic last 20 minutes !

So assuming that the Argies do the necessary, Scotland have to beat England by about 40 points - is that right ?  :o

As I understand the bonus points rule Scotland would have to score 4 tries or more and win by more than 7 points - it is not going to happen ... (but they could in theory win 20-12 with 4 unconverted tries and knock England out) ...

Scotland blew it today - so many errors in the first half - and pathetic tackling at the end as their player danced through ... super annoying ... surely the conditions favoured us ... with similar conditions I would expect it to be close versus England but Cueto/Foden/Ashton/Tuiliga have too munch punch ...

Today felt very like the Scotland 6 England 9 - 1991 World Cup game - albeit Scotland had a much better team then - I dropped two pints of beer that day - one hit the ground so square that the liquid flumed up and hit me in the face.

Scotland have lacked any real explosive powers out wide for a long time - galling to watch.

Not enjoying Andy Robinson comments - 30 seconds of madness cost us - weak - 12 turnovers in the first half cost us - get the basic right and capitalise when you have the chance - don"t leave it to a coin flip etc ...

Totally agree with your take on it, we were sluggish at best against a very ordinary Argentina team who got way too much respect. We should"ve kept the ball better and had more meaningful drives. Poor kicking and a poor performance punished us in the end.

We"re having our Glasgow Live event on Saturday and a few of the team are planning a liquid breakfast beforehand in Walkabout to watch this. I fear sad humiliation tbh so will probably just accept a longer lie-in, maybe just watch it on the box before heading out to the poker game.

Played a pretty odd £1/£1 game at the VIC last night.

Table seemed to be a spill off table with generally no good players on it - lots of people arriving with micro stacks on the spin up ...

I was pretty card racked up so pretty quickly +£400 where I stayed before the epic £40 taxi home ... pleasing entree to the weekend.

Betfair $40k g"tee tonight : $50+4 re-buy : First time in a while a Betfair g"tee has gone up!

In non-turbo tournaments have made the money in the last three tournaments played - would be nice to make it a 4-timer ...

Vic was jumping last night with the EPT in town ... an asburd £5/£10 PLO in play with a couple of £20k stacks ...

No joy in the Betfair event tonight ... money in good vs fish on the turn ... two pairs vs flush draw ... which of course spiked ... sigh ... would have been well above average ...

Will take the early poker night and run ...

Rugby weirdness ...

Woke up thinking Scotland need to score 4 tries!

(Correction "only" an 8 point win)

Half Time

Scotland 9 England 3

Match Odds

England 1.88
Scotland 2.52

Knife Edge stuff - GAME ON!

Summary

Scotland need to learn how to score a try.

Tries versus (England + Argentina + Georgia - NIL)

England just waiting for a good team to beat them.

Sigh!

good to see the minor nations inflicting a bit of a bloody nose.

Okay performance from Scotland - they lost vs the feeble England.

England summary so far :

Mike Tindall goes to NZ on the pull
Wilkinson can only score with his favourite (remote control?) ball.
Stevens and Cole are completely hopeless in the Scrum
Moody isn"t really match fit

Where are the leaders?

Good impact players - but no platform.

Scotland - decent platform - no impact players.

Ireland for the win.

Lazy Saturday ...

Watched the film "Source Code" staring Jake Gyllenhaal who looks rather like Gus Hansen.

I have not seen Gus play a hand on TV for ages.

Film is great - a genre I usually hate - but it lured me in and the end is crisp enough to leave me happy.

Looks like GSOP Event 8 is the winner tonight - 7pm kick off - 15 min levels - better go and find some Red Bull ...

Sunday - Looks like a working day!

Poker might be over for the weekend - bad beats and bad calls rewarded - momentum clipped.

Might get some juice back on the Prix de L"Arc : Miruno D"Amour.
