Super yawn!

Played the Big $55 ... heading towards the money ... flop trips ... lose to the straight draw ... card dead ... lose the required race ... it"s all pretty standard ...

Not sure what I think of it all ... bad enough sitting at home watching Louis Theroux ... but the thought of travelling for such fates fills me with little excitement ...

Super yawn II ...

First hand of significance for the weekend is top pair vs two overs ... who hits the runner-runner flush ...

Maybe a sign to sleep rather than play poker??

N1 Louis, GL. Was beginning to look bad on first read and lot of posts on the forum appear to be quite negative at the moment(George and Shelley excepted).

So glad you is ITM. Let us know how you finish up. :)

Tedious 389th ... for a minor cash ... I called down a short/mid stack with AJ vs AK ... mmm ...

I then shoved back A9s into AQ (big stack on the button).

Quick often I would let these positions go and wait for un-opened pots - but quite often my AJ is racing and my A9s is a mile ahead ...

Timing ... timing ... I am feeling a poker break coming up ... time to erase a million hands from my memory and come up with a new plan of attack.

Leg 3 of Genting feeling pretty unlikely at the moment ...

... the poker gods are weird ...

Probably the best card rush of my life playing $0.05/$0.10 with guys from APAT Scotland ...

$10 to $80 before drifting back to $61.53 ...

64o into 66xx4 vs AA and the second nut flush ... followed by (next hand) J3 into 33x3x ...

Good banter ... good game ...

Ahhh ya big fish (though Darren won that particular title last night), was great fun but Stars gave me my usual recent run of nut kicking again. That flush into your rivered house was rather painful indeed  :D

I think the best run of cards I ever had was in a £5 re-buy at the original Gutshot ...

At the end of the first hour I had 10 times the starting stack - it didn"t last albeit I did min cash.

Where is this run at the end of a (big) tournament??

Interesting running in the APAT Friday night get together ... (great work in setting this up) ...

True I hit a lot of drawing hands - but that is why to play them ... stack built I lost KK vs Q9, AA vs top pair after the flop, and top pair vs two overs after the flop ... still had the chip advantage heads up ... albeit behind when AT failed to spike vs 22 ...

Meanwhile in the big $55 ... all in AK vs AQ vs AJ ... flop QQJ ...

Turn 10?

although that would no doubt be followed by a 10 on the river

... no escape I am afraid ... last weekend was the killer combo of play bad ... run bad ...

Not played since albeit did play a game of "5 crowns" post picnic in the park today.

Weird to have so many cards in my hands - it"s the classic card game of minimal skill - which I duly lost!

Super weird for it to suddenly be baking hot - 28 degrees - following the five weeks of epic greyness.

Genting poker weekend - next weekend - but no plans to run to Scotland - might be a diet of APAT Sunday"s only.

No poker tonight ...

Eurovision Song Contest - some super weird entries as usual.

I have punted Germany to win - it"s an insane 39/1.

Sweden just above evens - it might well win - but hardly the bet you want to take.

Second favourite are the Russian "grannies" - who were pretty dull - rather like a casio keyboard on autopilot with some token pseudo singing.

Of those that have gone Cyprus was semi-catchy - odds falling slightly - nothing else of note.

No joy with the Eurovision - it"s a classic tale of the value shots being no value against a dominant favourite.

Pondered betting on Carl Froch - but failed to dive in for the value there!

Key an amazing performance - total domination from the bookies underdog.

Albeit with a penalty on the grid - Schumacher must be a little value at 21/1.

(Nico Rosberg only 4/1 for the race : Quite liking these odds as have him at 20/1+ for the title)

This year"s championship much more compelling than last year"s - another day with laptop and Sky Sports.

Must walk in the sun - Must walk in the sun - Must walk in the sun ...

Cold poker exit in the APAT league ...

77 into Q74 vs QQ ... would have been an amazing escape ...

At the moment every hand I play makes me feel less and less inclinded to play again until the winter!

Will play the last three APAT weeks of course then take a pause.
