Super sleepy ... so I will keep powder dry for a bigger field ...

Have backed Dundee United to beat Hibs (Half Time/Full Time) ... would be a good way to get the day rolling.

I have punted Ryan Bailey to win the 100m - 24/1 is nuts given his run in the heats (9.88s) - probably chop the downside for the final.

Could be a very close finish - with Blake at 95% - if that is true how does he beat Blake who can run 9.75s?

I had Blake for 100m at the worlds at big odds when Bolt false started (under pressure) ... whoop whoop ...

Hibs suitably dreadful - could/should have been much more than 3-0 ... so sitting on a £2k free-roll on Ryan Bailey (for the day) ... looking forward to the semi-finals at 7.45pm.

It"s annoying me that I think Blake will win by the tiniest of margins ... say 0.05 ... holding off the "fast finishers" ...

Hopefully Bailey can upset Bolt in the Semi Finals and I can take profits.

Bolt back to jogging 9.87s ... oh dear ... great to see ... but bad for my "value" bet ... annoying that Bailey couldn"t re-run his 9.88 and put the tiniest bit of pressure on Usain.

Looks like it will be three men under 9.80s in the final - maybe all 8 under 10s??

Latest odds on Betfair
Bolt 1.34
Blake 4.9
Gatlin 25
Gay 90
Bailey 240
Powell 370

Bolt much more on odds for the Worlds - perhaps a bad start required.

If I look at it now it"s a no bet - maybe some "value" on Gatlin - but it"s all feeling like betting on a bad start ...

I think it is true to say my last online hand of poker was on 20/6/2012 ... I am not really sure why?
The desire has diminished ...
... conversely the desire to play face to face has increased ...
That should equate to playing the Fox main event today - but it will have to wait a month - lazy day then off to Scotland for a few weeks away from the madding crowd of London.

The Olympics have been weird - I have enjoyed it but the enjoyment has been somewhat reduced by the BBC"s coverage and their tunnel vision - and also their inclusion of Gary Lineker as a presenter.

All the Bolt stuff bores me to death - the other night he ran the same time as Michael Johnson did 16 years ago - he"s great but Blake can beat him and may take his 200m world record.

David Rudisha breaks the 800m world record and it"s all about Bolt ... yawn ... living legend or boring legend ...

I enjoyed the total hockey of Holland beating GB 9-2 ...

The atheltics Super Saturday was great - would love Farah to double up tonight.
He is joint favourite with "Dejen Gebremeskel" on Betfair - there might be some value elsewhere??

Pondering.

Farah is the King ... he touch 4/1 in running ... which I missed ... sigh!

Grabbed Savinova in the Women"s 800m ... ridiculous 7/2 ... won at a canter ...

No betting opportunities in the 400m relay ... just a procession ...

Well unless I bet on Ukraine to beat Britain (GB were 1.25).

Men 100m relay - odds on for the world record - 1.57 - They should subject to baton changes ...

The forecast Jamaica/USA is short enough at 1.27 - given dodgy batons - I need to be laying this I think ...

Back to Scotland today ... so even less poker!

Enjoying the rest!

Also enjoying betting against Hibs.

They were truly dreadful vs Dundee United.

Hard to see Hearts not beating them today - a touch over evens - but I will get greedy again for the half time/full time result at 5/2.

... and finally back to an online game ... albeit playing like a passive limping donkey with no cards ...

Still alive in the Big $109 - but with a 1/3 of the average chips after 55 mins ...

... I recall poker ... raise all in with a gutshot and hopefully overcards vs the made set ... which becomes the house on the turn ...

Tournament II ... turn the set ... vs the flopped straight ...

Pretty average play to be honest ... playing trippy trappy and falling in my own traps ... oh well ...

Perhaps I will need to play the Warm Up to re-deem myself??

Half Time
Dundee Untied 3 Dundee 0 - I didn"t back the half time/full time as too skinny.
In lots of ways Dundee the better team - but dismantled by a goalkeeping error, a deflection and a wonder strike from Johnny Russell.

I took a pleasing punt on Gunning to score first £13 to win £369.50 (less 5% comms).
I also took a punt on a hat-trick being scored at 33/1 - Russell has two at half time - would be a jolly one-time bet to come in.

United looking pretty slick on the break ...

My head is coin-flipping between having a headache or not ... would be a pleasing race to win for the Sunday Warm Up at 4pm ...

Run good ... run bad ... my potential hat-trick hero sent off after 72 mins ... it was the classic scenario with the game heating up - what should have been two yellow cards became two reds and a yellow ... referee put under pressure by others joining the fray ... super dull second half with Dundee settling for their three nil defeat.

Headache has dissapated ... so poker kick off is 15 minutes away ... It has been quite a while ... need some run good ...

Struggling to find any epic bets for the evening.

Hardly value but will have a go at Jason Dufner - in the US Golf (2 off the lead hitting a 63 yesterday) - that said 6/1 is thin enough with 21 players within 5 shots.

Sergio Garcia leads but 7/2 feels mega thin - albeit you always think he could really come good again if the putter starts working.

Back to the poker ...

Think it was all handbags TBH and agree they should"ve been yellow. likewise Pardew yesterday, first game of the season & all that, should"ve had common sense prevail

Seems like distant nonsense now ... I have always followed Dundee United since c1983 ... at times I have been an active fan ... which it has to be said was generally a painful experience ... if Russell and Mackay-Stevens stay then we should make it to 2nd place ...

Poker at the weekend was nonsense too ... played the tournaments okay ... but ran into massive made hands and spots where I decided to gamble but was crushed.

Meanwhile ran great on the cash tables - turning $60 into $380 - with a little drift down at the end ...

I have hunger for poker - but they are outweighed by the hunger of HMRC/VAT for monies and accounts - I would prefer to lick my window than do my VAT but that is insufficient for the authorities I am afraid ...

DTD Grand Prix is calling but it looks like being crushed ...

Second good cash session in a row last night $200 up to $683 then cashed out at $473 getting a bit crazy ... albeit that"s how I got to the $683!

Best for today:
Sheff Wed
Raith
Stenhousemuir
Ross County

Maybe it should "just" be a massive single on Stenhousemuir ...

Berwick Vs Rangers should be help yourself time for the Rangers forwards ... pick a score.

I watched Annan vs Berwick last week 3-2 - but both side were desperately bad.

Hat-Trick scored : 7.8 on Betfair Taken
Andrew Little is 20/1 on Hills to score a hat-trick (11/2 on Paddy Power)

Can the bookies know how bad Berwick are?
I fancy Rangers will fancy dealing out some punishment.

So I have punted Rangers to win 8, 9 or 10 - NIL (100/200/450-1)
