The Sunday train to London - it is a bit of a ritual these days - up grade to first - sit and chill and work - and dream of the Sunday Warm Up ...

Scottish Cup Final yesterday was so weird - there are times when Dundee United winning the cup would have triggered a massive party for me - but yesterday it was just a relief - friends there with their families and so on.

Goodwillie - surely the best name in football - scored with an exquisite lob - but to play badly and win 3-0 is just weird.

Anyway - I managed to drink two pints - eat some excellent "west coast" mussels followed by pizza and tiramasu - patted my stomach and off to bed ...

I must now re-connect my tired synapses back to the hub - and make some hay to feed my horses ...

We"ve had a similar week. +£850 in Coventry on Sat night, followed by -£650 at the Vic last night (£400 cash and £250 in a ridiculous rebuy).

50p story for most of the cash loss:
Pocket queens, 4xBB raise into unopened pot from mp, button and BB call.
Flop T23 rainbow. I lead, called by villain on button.
Turn Q for top set, still rainbow. I lead, called. Pot now £200, I have £150 behind.
River A. I push assuming/hoping villain calls with AQ or the under-set...
... nope, snap call with his 45o.
