... Greyhounds ... I do love the big races but the rest can be such trash ... -£50 today ... five races ... five shockers ... I picked quick starters and they all fell out of the traps ... the one where I bet on the dog that could run on ... pinged the lids and then got swamped ...

... I also picked out a horse with the least ability on earth ... a 9/4 shot ... admittedly it was in the 4.30 @ Towcester ... lol ...

-$84 on the day ...

Opposing the Tiger with pretty much all of this at state ... sometimes you just have to get your balls out and oppose ridiculously short favourites ... there are too many people in play for him to be 2.62 ... was as low as Evs ...

Great fun cheering every player but one!

Football tonight ... dinner out tomorrow ... comedy on Sunday ... almost a total rest from the cards ... cleansing!

... always a storm brewing ... I think that all poker players should be forced off the table for a month a year to get their appetite back (and to think about their game) ... usually this only happens after a pointless blow out.

It looks very likely that I will be in Vegas for the $1,000 NL event starting cMay29th.

Watching Ice Skating on Euro Sport ... not sure I am ready to gamble on this yet!?

Slightly tempted to get into Grand Prix racing this year ... it looks very open ... though I fancy Barrichello to get off to a flyer ... hopefully from pole position!

Annoying to have not backed the West Indies today ... England just want to go home ... there is too much cricket these days... the hunger is not there ...

Tiger in play in the golf ... who I laid at 13/8 ... I think it is just too early for him to win ... and the price is way to short ... that said with balls on the block ... the balls get nervous ...

Lots of gambling options tomorrow ...

Afternoon poker and a 25th of 264 ... for a trivial "win" in an I-Poker $15k g"tee ... $25 re-buy ... so actually a trivial loss ... mainly due to AA being cracked and my flopped two pairs getting crushed by both opponents who flopped a second pair and a flush ...

Minor cash losses ... -$87 ... RT +$510.

The type of day that illustrates the tough progress which is normal ... fight and scrap against the bad beats ... then run out of cards in the money ... A6s push late position into 99 ... I hit the ace ... he hits the 9 ...

So Many different types of luck in poker ...

Saturday night special!

Low brain power led me to the heads up tables ... 25/50c ... max sit down of $50 ... 4 hours later 609 hands I sit with $413 (no re-buys) ... some incredible play by my opponents ... and I just cannot stay awake ...

(In between I pushed with 99 into AA in the Eyes Wide Shut but +$308 on the session)

Looks like a lucky escape with Tiger ... though locked out due to outside fears ... that said watching the golf now ... Tiger has played the last 3 holes badly this week.

Comedy was good ... nice to see a rising star in Terry Saunders ... effortless nutter ... very pleasing.

(Tiger Amazing! - that could have been very very sore - the joys of betting exchanges!)

... last two days a tale of endless flushes against in MTT"s and some pretty resilient cash play ...

Not much to do when short stacks cut you in half when you hit a straight on the turn ... and they have a flush ... or when you ace hits vs their flush ...

You can run away from everything and anything ...

-$116.

Though 75th of 129 from 264 in the I-Poker $20k g"tee - 30 paid and some loose chips at the table ... chances! (Always chances!)

Final result 30th from 264 ... for $151.

Make the money ... lose 66 vs A5 (straight on the river) ... not dead ... Push with TT called by A9 ... A on the flop ... standard ... really no need for the guy to call ... puts 1/3 of his stack at risk. (69/31 and 72/28 ahead) ... 91% chance of survival ... but doesn"t feel that way ...

Just finished 23rd of 154 in I-Poker $12.5k g"tee 20 paid ... $30+3 - no re-buys required.

Pushed with A6 late position - called by 55 which hit.

Very cagey near the bubble - cannot wait forever - got chopped in half when AK hits but A2 has hit two pairs - not quite the correct luck in running!

-$22 playing cash.
