RT - $888

Played an I-poker $8k g"tee - last hand before the break hit top pair and check called.

Turn gives opponent a second pair and no escape (with gutshot draw + 5 other outs) on the river.

A little greedy perhaps ...

Weird gambling day.

Called the England odds being far too high correctly betting at Average 10/1 and laying at 5/2.

Then took the view that Australia would be able to swing the ball and get England out for less than 320 ... maybe they will but so lacklustre their attack I have cut my losses.

Horses also going badly coming up to the 4.35 at Goodwood.

RT -$1,003

Tres Coronas FTW?

Noble Storm saves the day in the 5.45 ... despite missing the break in a 5F ...

Grabbed 6.4/1 on Betfair.

Excellent work.

Bad Light at the cricket ... Strauss excellent ... Bell (so plum LBW) ... but still in.

Koertzen such a poor umpire ... gave two dubious decisions to Anderson (I think Onions had a good one turned down too).

Shame that the weather is going to eat the Test Match up.

Another nice cash session +$151

Just outside money in the Pokerstars $30k : AT vs 88 defeat

Lost a little on a nonsense horse race.

Good comeback this week - pleasing - try and top off at the weekend.

Cash Tables doing okay ... +$81 ... but will be written off unless Markab wins 15.40.

Good feelings for this War Horse - loving the weather - though a load of cash for Biniou - mmm

Looking forward to the APAT Tournament tonight though getting ready for no cards - having had them on the cash tables over the last week.

Cash Tables - Less beats generally which is good - flopped quad 4s though not paid much despite having raised everything before.

$.50/1 seems to be a good level to attempt to bully ... might skip up a level ... though I think there is a change when you go to $1/2 ...

Fingers Crossed!

The race is off ....

RT -$739 plus any winnings in the APAT

First hour was pretty good though quad 2s not paid.

Second hour pretty poor cards - though flopped a straight which lost to a rivered full house.

Sharp end now - need to start accruing some chips ...

APAT event : 24th of 100.

Real rearguard action for the majority of the event

Nice QQ vs QJ in the blinds hand.

Final push is 9Ts into QJ ... J9x ... T ... Q

Is there a Sunday of poker in me??

Flintoff the slayer as I oppose England"s 1st Innings runs ... could have been worse.

Sunday Warm Up ... will take things to -$999 plus returns ... is tonight the night!?!

Pitch and Putt was pretty wild ... tiny greens and wayward irons coupled with poor putting not the ideal mixture.

RT -$999

Sunday Warm Up started very well ... twice the average after two hours ...

Hour 3 - Card dead until TT early position - standard raise - SB and BB call

Flop 974 two clubs.

SB bets out a small bet, BB all in, a call is going to cut me from 30k to 10k, and having made wrong TT folds recently, I make the wrong call ...

Vs 99 for top set.

BAD PLAY - A bit pre-meditated - wanted it to be a flush draw or the dream A9 - POOR

Next hand 10k back to 20k ... TT vs 66 ... flop 6xx ... River T ... so back in play.

A few hands later

AJ on the button ...

500/1000/75

Raise to 3000
BB raises to 7000
I am all in for 20000

Called by KQ ... K on the flop ... would have taken me above average ... with a chance to settle down ... but not to be ...

... my hotel is advertising local casinos ... but not high on my list ... though there is an argument for playing poker on every continent in the world.

South America to follow.

Are you playing in Nottingham ... might be my next serious poker!

I am playing on the Saturday ... will come up in the morning ...hopefully make day 2!

Just got to Mombasa ... free local beers (pretty decent) ... 25 hours door to door ... beer can wait a night.

Reading the inflight stuff - a choice of casinos - one with a "floating" sushi bar - what does that mean?
