Got into a good position in $1m g"tee qualifier - but with increasing blinds lost a battle of the blinds - live cards but went in behind.

Marin Cilic to beat Del Potro is huge at 4/1 tonight.

No reason why he couldn"t then beat Nadal/Gonzalez - overall price 47/1 - back to lay I believe.

Played good for two hours - raised everything - and took advantage.

Lost a 77 into xxx called by AK which spiked (small stack)
Lost a AK vs AT
Lost a KQ (two pairs) vs 4 to a flush - which I played slowly (could have folded the river) - my own fault.

This made my stack small and not enough patience from me to survive.

The epic balance between patience and aggression - and how to deal with having very few cards.

Overall - a decent position dented by beats - but killed by impatience - WEAK!

... I should add to last night ... enjoyed the battle with MattBlue and AMRN.

Steve arriving late to re-raise my raises - I should have re-stole - I think - next time!

First 100 hands - I played 55 and won 36 - which is pleasing.

Got to 4th place - then needed to slow down a bit but I seemed to have cooked the brakes.

Re-focus : walk in sun - strawberry and white chocolate ice lolly.

Fired up a $70+7 qualifier ... so RT -$746 ... plus or mnius a ticket ... 10 min levels ... shuffle up and deal.

Lost momentum with AT vs JT defeat.

Nearly falling asleep ... not helped by Cardiff 0 Newcastle 1 ... zero skill.

I watched Crystal Palace vs Charlton last year (live) - dire.

Fulham vs Everton next up ... is this going to be any better?

Made the (minor) money of Event 26 of the WCOOP

Very slow structure - never in a great position - had a life with 5 outs twice early on.

Needed to find a good spot to gamble at the end.

How"s this ATs vs AA ... great!

If you could this as a Sunday Warm up substitute then 5 cashes from 10 ... this one slightly feeble (though governed by cards) ... others more live.

Might take a look at tomorrow"s card!

Happy Birthday to me ... (37) ... how does it happen ... it"s almost as if the number gets one bigger each year!

Never know what to do to celebrate birthdays - so much partying throughout the year already.

Most of my favourite activities can be done every day.

e.g. eating sausage rolls/sitting in my chair.

Off to Italy tonight - Venice - Florence - Pisa.

Venice - always like walking into a Canaletto painting.

Florence - I am most looking forward to the Boboli Gardens to view the statue of Bacchus riding the giant Turtle.

Pisa - I ate a great Pizza there last time - backstreet cafe/restaurant - only other customers being an Italian couple busy getting off with each other - under the table their boxer dog kept guard.

Leaning tower fans - Bologna has a tower with a much bigger lean - just not so ornate.

I love Italy and its ways.
