2nd in the APAT

No beating the Calculator(86) tonight ... who tripled up with Q5 vs KJ(me) and 85 (abaddon).

Heads up - Calc started with a massive advantage - and won first contested handed A3(me) vs 97o.

Edinburgh top the table by a point - and I move to 4th for Edinburgh - with 5th final table of the year.

Calc - played good - ran good - dangerous combination - good player - fair play!

Playing the I-Poker Double Stack - $12.5k g"tee

RT -$72 : plus any winnings.

141 runners - 20 paid

Just for completeness a real donkey move from me last night versus ABC player ...

I limp with JJ ... he raises to six times the BB ... I call

Flop something like 246 ... I check to raise ... he bets out ... I re-raise ... he calls ...

Turn is a K ...

I check ... he bets half the pot ... I go all in ... he calls with AKs

Horrible play ... I know I was dreaming of 77,88,99,TT ... but plenty of time to just get out of the hand.

Punishment - Play STG"s to regain the $109 buy-in.

RT - $181 (with the Betfair $18k in play)

Time to forget the woes of last night and make it 4 cashes in a row ... in the $18k ...

Just struck me that I have not been out at all today ... work ... work ... sleep ... work ... work ... poker ...

Aside caught a bit of the Leeds vs Norwich match ... perhaps it was a dream they both looked good.

Sometimes not playing poker can be tough ... especially when you catch a Aussie Millions sat" with an overlay ...

$50+5 ... to a final ($500+10) ... not that I got time to think ... 54 looking good on 54A ... but the T on the turn made AT look better!

14th from 14 ... 2 seats ... early night ... AGAIN!

Watching Real Madrid vs AC Milan - what is happening - goalkeeping masterclass - like Scotland in the 70s - Alan Rough lives on ...

Just coming up to 10,000 views ... so perhaps something better to read than my latest defeat.

Elsewhere The Duke wrote that 99.99% of players think they are better than they are ... an interesting comment.

The inference is that only 1 in 10,000 people know their true level ... that is drawing thin!

My guess is that I would be on the edge of the top 5% of players ... but the bottom line is that it is the top 5% that make any money! (Fair play to them).

In terms of the APAT ... mmm ... tough to tell ... maybe top 25% ... only 1 final table on line (from 236 runners) in the $50+5 things ... 5 final tables in the Sunday APAT's ...nothing face to face (though no glaring mistakes) ... only three played.

I am not sure what my poker ambitions are for the rest of this year???

A winning cash game on Nov 6th?

Nothing else face to face planned ...

APAT week 20 ... hobble into the Edinburgh team ... and then take it down.

Good luck to those playing in Bolton ...

Shuffle up and deal!

Efforts to qualify for the Betfair $18k thwarted by A3 vs 84 defeat ... 84 priced in ... but not running to sweet at the moment.

May buy in direct ... (if last gasp Super Turbo fails me!)

Weird to following Bolton APAT ... about six weeks ago I was mad for it ...

Nothing happening at the moment ... flush draw (and no help) vs flopped two pairs ... after a life less first hour.

A little quilty of pushing things too hard ... a fine line in the middle.

No poker today - but managed to convince myself that Lloyd was heading home in X-Factor - weird voting.

Danyl - clearly the best singer - in the play off.

Quite enjoying "John and Edward" - very John Sargeant - but they are entertaining - the rest are starting to bore me.

I have money on Jamie ... but not convinced it is good money!

Ooooohhhh ... getting talked in a £9k g"tee on Sky ... GRRRR!!!

I did tell you what to expect...

How long did it take "might turn in for the night" to change to "what are we playing next?" !
