Stuart Appleby worth a look in The Lowdown  - Houston Open @ 40/1

He won there in 2006
Second Equal in 2007
(23rd last year)

Appleby 8th at the "Transitions" two weeks ago.

Pondering Mickelson at 8/1 - Imperious in last win - but short enough.

... spreadbetting far too scary for me ...

I like trading on Betfair ... feels a bit more controlled ...

That sounds like very decent odds on Appleby. Moseying on over to easyodds.com just now ...

Bet placed - E/W at 33s on SkyBet.

Paul Casey being offered up at 49/1 on Betfair for the Masters. BlueSq offering 45/1 which is also pretty good.

Appleby +1 after 8 holes in Rd1 of Shell Houston. I ain"t worried yet.

Ogilvy on fire ... how sick!

Just got back from football ... definite black eye ... sigh!

Good game though ... 70 mins of 8 a-side ... 5-5 ... my shots blocked and saved ... distribution terrible ... defensive duties pretty spot on ... including saving the ball with my FACE!

Fair play to Casey who wins the first play off hole with a bogey 5 ... albeit on the toughest par 4 I have ever seen ...

On the final day ... average shots = 5.2 ... one birdie all day.

Tee-side effectively over the SEA ... GENIUS ... into the teeth of the wind.

I can"t see past Tiger for the Masters this weekend so have decided to look for a couple of E/W bets.

I have Paul Casey who I got at 49/1 last week (now 29s on BetFair)

Wife wanted a couple of £ on both Padraig Harrington (20/1 on BetFair) and Camilo Villegas (60/1 on BetFair) both to win.

I like Appleby at 160/1 on his 13th Masters Appearance ... hmmm

... I am remembering how much of a lottery golf is!

Casey is good value ... there is a prescedent for people winning the Masters on the back of the event before ...

Woods - the ultimate Tiger - he is plenty short - but pretty amazing - my view will be to hope that he birdies the first and then lay him at what ever ridiculous price he goes to - but with a view to g"tee profits when he bogeys the next.

The tournament he won - I made £120 on trading against him - (and then closing as he drifted).

Stenson at 45/1 is good.

And I have a sprinkling of "value" bets ...

Furyk
O"Hair
Appelby
Perez
DJ Trahan
JM Singh

These bets are sponsored by this morning poker wins.

Woods will win, therefore I am on these 5 EW in the without woods market.

Karlsson 35/1
O"Hair 40/1
Cink 50/1
Leonard 66/1
Flesch 175/1

Consider them all bokked!!!

Some worthy bets there JE, two of whom I have considered too in Karlsson and Cink. Cink is great odds at 50/1 without Woods but he"s gone off the boil a wee bit recently.

I like the Karlsson bet ...

Tiger a dangerous foe to oppose but 5/2 is either pretty short (as I think) or it should be lumped??

He only beat O"Hair by a shot ... and O"Hair bottled it ... Tiger immense ... but don"t think he is a cert.
