this!

my girlfriend doesn"t like me playing because she thinks i will become addicted and end up in a gutter owing thousands to loan sharks!....i tought her how to play but guess what, she became addicted on my account! i try and explain that her shopping habits can become an addiction as much as anything can, show her my bankroll management and explain to her that it is my main hobby, it doesn"t work!

your not on your own trust me!

2) this is a perculiar one, im having a bit of trouble with my partner, for some reason every time i play poker she has a hissy fit. has anyone got any advice or words of wisdom to help with this situation.

Perhaps she is unhappy in her relationship with you and this is the only way she can find to express it.

Consider counselling or a new girlfriend?

My family accept my hours of play as they know I can make money at it. I have to smile at the image others have though..... "So Steve, what do you do for a hobby outside of work?".... "I play poker"..... and then you can see the thought processes kicking in...... "OMG this guy must be an alcoholic who is risking his income and the house his wife and kids live in. What a bad future for his family".  They ask how much I lose every month..... hmmm, what a cheek!!

gotta laugh.

Gotta love the Line - "i play Poker" says A "oh you must be an addictive gambler - make sure that you dont loose your house" says B

Gotta love non poker players views on poker players - they think that were all 2nd class citizens on a par with Crack Addicts and Muggers and that we will all end up potless and/ or homeless

I just tell wife #1 to STFU and get back in her cage with the rest of the hareem before I get the padlock out again...

:o Just kidding, please don"t shoot :D

Fotunately the missus doesn"t moan too much these days, luckily I went on a winning streak at the local casino around 6 months ago and cashed 5 out of 6 visits and used this as evidence in my argument that poker isn"t just luck. lololololol. Now she just tells me to stop moaning about "bad beats" - whenever I"ve just been knocked out of a tournament online she looks at me and tells me she doesn"t want to hear the story and that I"m as bad as that "idiot on the TV" that she loathes (Phil Hellmuth), hahahahaha.

For the record - FYP still has me scratching my head  :-\

Me and the wife rarely argue about playing poker, as she introduced me to the game, just everything else  ;D
