im still unable to connect to bluesquare after three weeks of waiting for the issues to be sorted out, so ive tried adjusting the settings on my router, the largest packet size (MTU) i can use and still have a reliable connection is 1300, go any higher than that and im unable to connect to the poker server, going smaller just slows the connection down as it takes longer for the data to be sent back and forth in the open connection between my router and the servers at bluesquare but it works, so my advice to any user would be to reduce the setting by a level 50 at a time until you can establish a good connection. i would be interested to find out what MTU settings other isp"s use as a standard.
As i play on lots of other poker sites regularly, stars, pacific, party, poker.co.uk, will hill, ladbrokes, betfair and bugsys club to name but a few and never have any problems with them id have to say that the problem probably lies with bluesquare and not aol or tt, which begs the question why does apat want to be affiliated to a second rate package that doesnt deliver the goods to all of its members.
I guess it comes down to the needs of the organization and not the needs of the members. it wasnt that long ago that apat was touted as a place to play good structured tournaments for cheap buyins in a live environment, whereas now you have to qualify online and not in a local casino, the online game and a live game are totally different, each has its own set of skills and disciplines, so im sure that there are players out there who have supported apat since it started that have suffered since the changes have been implemented.
i wish apat could find a new sponsor with different aspirations and go back to what it always did best, support local amateur talent and give it a chance to grow instead of becoming some kind of corporate whore but hey i guess that aint ever gonna happen, bring back pokerstars i say lol.

my ISP is be there (which is now owned by 02) and I have no problems with any poker site, including all the above and BSQ. So I don"t think its a BSQ problem it"s whatever ISP that people have

My opinion of course (MTU 1500 by the way)

I"m on talk talk and am able to get on BSQ without any problems.

Dont agree with the rest of the OP either....on many levels

We know that this is an issue that affects a large database but we are in no position to force AOL to resolve the matter and will just keeping trying and hope it is resolved asap!

Opinion is clearly divided on this issue.

1 - I have AOL/TT and don"t have any problems with other poker sites so it must be a Bluesquare issue

2 - I use another ISP and dont have problems with Bluesquare so it must be an AOL/TT issue

Clearly AOL/TT share the view of those in camp 1 and Bluesquare camp 2.

If they are not going to solve the issue TOGETHER then it is not going to be solved. As an AOL and Bluesquare customer myself I have contacted both parties a number of times and everytime they have said it is the other parties problem to solve.

So those of us that are customers of both parties have a choice IMO. Change ISP or use a different poker site.

If it wasn"t for APAT I would simply stop using Bluesquare but as I choose to support APAT then I have decided to change ISP.

I suspect both parties will lose customers as a result of this so surly they should BOTH work to resolve it instead of blaming each other.

Unfortunately, I suspect that, as usual, it"s a case of economics. The problem is unlikely to affect enough people to make it cost effective to put resources into fixing a problem that only touches an infinitesimal percentage of their customer base.

Just to add that as a TT customer I suffered for a period to all IPoker poker rooms not just BSQ, this problem ( touchwood) has happily been resolved for some time now and currently I enjoy a good connection again.

I don"t agree with a number of the opinions in the opening post regarding BSQ sponsorship. I think that the Grovensor/BSQ sponsorship has allowed APAT to deliver some fantastic events which I"ve been fortunate enough to participate in, and will continue to support them because as an organisation I think Grovensor/BSQ are at the forefront of promoting UK poker at all levels.

Each to their own opinion though and I can certainly understand the frustration that the connectivity issue causes.

Dare I say it, but I think iPoker, BlueSQ and the other ipoker skins have more to lose than AOL on this one.  I can"t see a large number of their customer base moving to a different ISP because of this issue (after all, only a small percentage play poker online, and only a percentage of them play on iPoker).

So, the logic from that is that iPoker should be the ones to make the biggest effort in this matter - not just for their customers" sake - but for their own financial benefit.  I"m sure this is probably the case, but the customer service responses people are getting must be really frustrating.

my problem is with Blue Square, i have AOL and have done for years with very little problems.
i can play other I-Poker skins like BoylePoker,WilliamHill,Pokerutd (although this site is leaving I-Poker now),BetFred etc and don`t have the hassle i get with BS.
it takes me about 1 - 2 hours to get a static connection with BS,but have to say when i get it it is hassle free.
but that doesnt help me help my team at all in the league if i am constantly trying to log in all the time.
it is very frustrating but will stick with it as long as APAT are joined with BS.

im with sky and have been havin connection probs for ages,,,i stay because apat is on bl/sq, id be playin elsewhere if this was not the case,,,no probs on other sites,,disagree with all the other comments regarding apat.
