Dont know whats up.
« on: May 13, 2009, 23:35:26 PM »
Well , I would always have considered myself to be better live than, online and my result have shown that. But over the last 6 months I have hardly played live and been playing most days online, with some decent success especialy i the SNG games/ deeper stacked events.

I have been at the casino 3 times in 3 weeks. Week one played rubbish but card dead, Week two felt like I was playing good, but got riverd and week 3 tonight played rubbsih and but card dead but I seem to have picked up or started playing hands really funky. I cant really explain it but I found myself double thinking hands, if that makes sense. I would say I was generly a pretty solid player but I dont know if that has changed as the modern poker player, especialy online is changing and im trying to adapt or something. I really dont know

I dont know whether this is as a result of watching so much of players like Tom Dwan where logic goes out the window a little, but I guess what im tryin to say, Is online and live two completely different animals??

I did notice that I played my hands way to fast tonight, which I was didnt do last time and felt good, should i try taking the same amount of time even if i have decided what im doing, like betting any river etc???
FNP,

Though I would give this blogging a shot!!

its probably just a case of you overthinking things for the competency of player your up against?

I read a blog the other where this dude was going on about how weak live cash players are in comparison to online "winning" grinders, I think he was playing something like 500NL online and felt comfortable playing 1000NL live. This post just reminded me of it. I dont know if there"s any proof to what the fella was saying. i"ll try and look for it tomo

Anyway.. just cash a couple times online and you"ll fell better! lol
