First of congrats to APAT for coming up with a great schedule.  It certainly looks like a lot of hard work has been done by APAT to achieve this.

I just want to bump a question that was asked earlier.  I want to play the Regionals at the Vic.  What time will registration start on the day as I can imagine this getting filled up quite quickly?

Thanks
Mark.

In a weird position where although none of the venues are on my doorstep.  i am like an hour and a halfs drive from Walsall Bristol and Luton and at a push Cardiff!!.

If you play initially in one region are you then still able to play later in a different region.

My reasoning behind is the numbers game.  If i find one venue is oversubscribed but another in undersubscribed, I might change to a different region for leg 2.

also if you can change regions what happens with the ranking points

Again, I don"t know for sure, but my take is as follows.

You can play in any of the regional events - but obviously only at one on any given day.  I don"t remember reading anything that says you can"t play in any of the regions in subsequent events.  Might be wrong though.

As a satellite, you get in the top 10%, you get a seat in a national event.  You also get points - and these go towards your season total (your best 20 results count, or something like that, so you can miss events and not worry too much).  So even if a venue only attracts 30 runners, it"s going to be just as difficult to get a seat, as you need to finish in the top 10%, but it would be easier to score points (unless they too are allocated pro rata of a full field of 80 runners).

Not sure if the points are allocated pro rata, but you can choose to play your regional qualifier in any region. My understanding, though, is that you cannot carry forward points earned in one region to another.

Obviously if I"m wrong, I"m sure Des will put me right.

Can possibly make some of these, but Blackpool AND Manchester? Shame one of these couldnt have been in Leeds.
Also, the maximum 80 players? Not sure its enough tbh.Turning up at Manchester to find its already full is going to be disappointing.
Just my tuppence.

The Regional events are acting as satellites into the National events.  the 10% times £75 will come from the prize pool.  The remainder of the prize pool will be awarded to the top 10% of finishers as prize money.

Will the 10% of seats be rounded up or down?

If there are, say 25 players, will that be two seats or three?

Des - can you clarify how the points are to be awarded at the regional events?  If there are 12 runners (as an example), how will the points be allocated?

Will the regional events be fully dealer dealt similar to the nationals?

Thanks.

i would imagine there would be 2.5 seats (10%) then you would have to re-enter a tourny with odd numbers to get the other half of seat !!!   ::)

I"m sure I read that these are self dealt. There"s normally someone who"ll swap with you if you get drawn into a dealers seat 10 and you dont fancy it.

Ditto...I was sure that, somewhere in this myriad of posts/threads that Des confirmed they were all DEALER dealt.

...
Regional Championship events will be one day, dealer dealt, run to APAT standardised rules and offer players 2,500 starting chips and 30 minute levels.  The buy in per event will be £20, with no registration fee.
