Spoke to G Casino Luton and they have informed me they are not opening until 2pm on Saturday.
Hmm half an hour before the tournie is due to start. Me thinks it may well be a tad late kicking-off. Although it has been stated several times that there are bound to be a few teething probs with the first event and knowing Apat im sure everything will be running ultra smooth before too long.

Seasons 2 is just around the corner. Can"t wait!

I phoned the Vic in London just now and they say they have 2 registered and the cardroom manager said he had had no instructions as to when Reg"s should and shouldn"t take place.  I mentioned to him that oin the site it is a same day registration and no pre-reg"s and I am only phoning because someone mentioned it on here that they regg"d.  He said the two Reg"s were Gareth or Gerald something and the other a Steve/stuart something, cannot remember to be exact..  He said he would take my word for it that there should be no pre reg"s and would put a note on the PC in order to prevent reg"s.

Correct.....
Asked at the Vic"s reg. desk tonight and they said they weren"t taking any(more) regs until Saturday

Just phoned Gala Maybury and spoke to Andrew in the cardroom.  Turns out I was not the 1st to phone, and he said they have taken zero bookings to date, and will not be doing so until he clarifies with APAT whether he should or not.

I advised that he could look at this thread, as APAT has stated clearly what should/should not happen.  He said he didnt have acces to internet from where he was, but asked me to post this.

So it seems the Saturday reg is on as planned.  See you there :)

Good postings about Edinburgh. Great to know that predictions are that it will be too busy - defo better being over-subscribed than under-subscribed.

APAT folk are making conference calls tomorrow night at 20:30 to discuss Saturday"s Regional Events. I"m sure someone will answer all outstanding concerns around that time if not before. Until then, I"ve bookmarked the following three threads that should be of interest to the Edinburgh players;

I spoke to the Cardroom Manager at Bristol Gala last night, and I got the distinct impression it was register on the day as he said something like "starts at 2.30 so get here well before then".

I daresay that Gala Bristol will be as in demand as places like Manchester and Edinburgh, not just because it"s new but i"d assume that all those outside the area would prefer Cardiff, but that"s just my 2 cents.

I was also hoping Bristle might slip under the radar. I spoke to someone there a few minutes ago on the phone and he said you had to register online. It was not clear if he meant simply on the APAT site or via the Gala website - but as the Gala website is useless and contains next to no information, I assume he meant on APAT. I"m going to be playing a Freezeout there this evening so will endeavour to get some information. I suspect I"ll be queueing outside from midday tomorrow though. Note: take a book.

Can someone tell me if Manchester event sell out quickly and what time the casino opens for registration.  I live in Liverpool and was wondering if I would be wasting my time driving to Manchester to try and get a game.

Thanks in advance for your replys

for all those wondering if it would be a waste of time traveling, i would say  if you arrive prior to the venue opening then the chances of 80 people waiting is probably unlikely. however you may turn up and get a seat easily so, a waste of time, nope i dont thinks so ;)

Since I now know that I won"t be alone in Bristle AND due to the fact that I am hopeless at Heads-Up play, I had better try and find some more prople to come and play!!  ;D

When we get that information from the casinos we will update here.  The expected opening times will be between midday and 1pm, but we are pulling together an accurate picture across all venues.  Players will be notified here before the weekend.

Sometime this evening then?

So when does the weekend actually start?
