Big APATer Pete Winter is currently a massive chipleader with 1.8m of the 2.8m.  Pete and Lynne attend most APAT events and were in Dublin three weeks ago.

C"mon Pete

He did say he was due one.

I"m not sure how, but Pete is out in 3rd.

Sky should really do something about the updater they have for this event.  ;D

One of the players was down to the felt, then tripled up and then doubled up.

Eventually Pete was in against the other player (CL) AQ v QQ and no help on the board.

All very confusing, but anyhow, what a fantastic result for the man.  Pocketing £6k for his weekend.

Very well done.

WP Pete.  Was sat next to Pete and it was a good table.  He had a bit of luck when he flopped the nut straight and all the chips went it - with the other player having the same hand.

Well, that"s what they thought.  Pete had QJd, the other player QJs.  With two spades and one diamond on the board the other player thought he was freerolling.  Of course, as live poker is so rigged it was obvious to everyone that the turn and river would both be diamonds giving Pete the flush and a nice injection of chips.  Looks like he used them well.

Well played sir!

Nice pic of me (not) was pointing out how funny Mr Simon Trumper looked trying to count on his fingers
while he was looking at the tournament screen.   LOL
God knows what he was working out, but I got a wry smile back when he realised I had spotted him and said
"Carefull simon or you"ll need to take your socks "n" shoes off next"  ;D

Not sure about the references to me spending his money.

Had a ball went out 15 min before end of day 1. Sunday played in £50 comp donked my chips off to winner so didnt feel to bad about not folding trip Ks.

Went on cash won £27.50. Invested that into £25 comp and managed some how with interupted concentration listening to what was happening to Pete to finish 3rd and won, well £320 so I dont need to borrow Petes YET LOL.

Any hoo now i"ve finally come down off the ceiling. (I think) I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who
helped in any way.
First all the many people who came up to me at dtd to congratulate me and to say how well they thought i played
(I don"t know all your names but I was overwhelmed by your comments thankyou very much all of you)
To all the sky staff, Compo,T kay and Des eeh all, what a great bunch of guys.
Des for all your encouragement.
T kay for keeping us laughing with your "French dealer lady table" comments.
All the DTD staff for their professionalism as always this place really is the Ds Bs.
All the dealers especially martyn who always seems to deal good for me"thanks for keeping me in when I called
Kh Qh with my A A and you put an ace on the flop, a heart flush for them on the turn and paired the board for
me on the river for a full house, cheers mate"
It was a pleasure to be sat next to norman pace on table 21 when I had my run of hands quad 9 qqs and trip 9.
And many congratulations to the eventual winner Robbie O"Brien very well done.
Such a solid player, you deserve every success and I enjoyed every minute at the table with you.A veritable
gentelman at such a young age, your parents should be proud of you.(being a grandad myself I should know)
But most of all my thanks go to Lynne my long suffering wife(who also came 3rd in the last event on sunday night
well done). If I am a rock(peter) then she is my mountain and without her i am nothing.
(But don"t tell her I said that)
Thanks Lynne for everything X  :-*
