... just logged in ... Full Tilt pay out so stacked for top few ... even worse than PokerStars??

I am just below average of 257 left in the Stars $40k g"tee ... 135 paid ...

L

much worse than stars - huge bias to the top end, but then thats good for the game i suppose.... gotta play to win.

Stars is bad enough ... I would flatten things out a bit ... but yes for the win ...

Have you been playing Stars Warm Ups etc ...

Full Tilt wise - what is happening with their TV tournaments?

Well!!

big stack makes std raise to 18k into my BB (8k) and I have AK with 129k behind. I shove and he calls with........ 88!!  thought I had more fold equity than that!!

22nd for $116  works out at around $20/hour :(

Ho hum - thanks for railling guys. Was like playing an APAT event!!

stars and FT would solve this problem if they only paid the top 10% of the field rather than the top 15%+ that they do at the moment.

However, they are not going to change this policy, because absurdly most people are happy with this arrangement.

1. donks (the majority of FT and stars customers) are happy because they have more chance of cashing and the fact they cash more often keeps them coming back (even though they are losing players)
2. very good regulars are happy because they play enough volume to get enough final tables to make decent money. They also have a load of exploitable players (who are seemingly happy to cash) that can help propel them to the final table

That only leaves decent players who have full time jobs and families and haven"t got the time to play the volume required for noticeable success. that is probably only a very small percentage of their cutomers.

I have stopped playing these big field MTTs, for 2 reasons.

1. I dont have the time to play them to a finish
2. I had 2 top 30 finishes in the space of 2 days for a grand total of about $100 when 2 wins would have given me $10K

I now play 100-200 runner tourneys on party and Poker.co.uk. You dont get the 4 figure scores that you would get on FT and stars, but you do get a better idea of how well you are running and the payouts aren"t too bad

Great run btw steve, I was railing for a bit, but got bored when you went 5 minutes without 1 outering anyone ;)
