Closer to an announcement.

I also wanted to say that to everyone who"s PMd me - thanks and I"ve read all of them.  Sorry that I haven"t got back to anyone individually, been a bit busy moving house recently and am making do with a yoghurt carton and piece of string for my internet connection.

Nope, you"re not wrong.  The team event does take place on the Thursday and Friday before the European "National" which starts on the Saturday as usual.

Thanks again for the people who"ve PMd me. Everyone who puts their name forward will be considered for the team, but I can only pick 4 in the end - so most will be disappointed.

Steve - he meant the rest of the countries playing the tournament.  Got to agree with him.

Hmm, this must be some strange definition of the word "scared", only known to kin.

I"ll buy you a dictionary for Christmas, Daniel.

Another Scot who finds it necessary to troll the England thread, and the teams haven"t even been picked yet!

Scared in anyone"s book.

I think these are probably the definitions Dan was considering..... taken from various dictionaries...

scare   - daunt: cause to lose courage;
scared  - frightened: made afraid; ie "the frightened child cowered in the corner"; (replace "child" with "Scot" here)
scare   - panic: sudden mass fear and anxiety over anticipated events
