I have found in this type of event it is very difficult to make people lay down their hands,,they are not usually good enough to know they should be folding,,,although this can benefit you against one player,,,if u raise with say AA and get four callers, your aces are no longer favourite against four players.
I would try not to commit to many chips to a pot pre flop at the start,,,i would limp and hope to hit flops and then play accordingly,,,bet out if u hit a set or a straight as u will probably get callers,,as i said they will probably not be good enough to know they are way behind,,,if they want to play drawing hands make them pay,,if they get lucky that is probably bad play by them,,,,,open up later on when blinds are bigger and play as u would do normally.
If it was a really really fast tourney with a very very small startin stack i think u have no choice but to play very aggressively and take your chance when u have a premium startin hand or good position. The nature of this type of tournament is luck orientated or as some call it "bingo",,,,you win some u lose some lolol,,,,it doesnt really matter if u r a good player or not,,,,HOUSE !!!! lol goodluck
