Welcome to APAT's World Championship Of Amateur Poker "Fantasy Staker" competition, which will give you a chance to win an option to enter your chosen forum in the APAT United Kingdom Team Championship in December.
SummaryWe"re giving you a bankroll of £100 fantasy pounds to stake players at the World Amateur Poker Championship main event being played at Dusk Till Dawn, between August 28th & 30th.
You will be able to stake up to 10 players in the main event or alternatively, you may choose to save your fantasy pounds in the hope that any positive bankroll will increase your chances of winning the prize.
StakingThe buy in for WCOAP main event is £100. If you stake one player for 50% of his buy in, you will be entitled to add 50% of his winnings to your fantasy bankroll. You can choose to stake between 1 and 10 players for up to £100 fantasy pounds in total.
Here is an example of a Fantasy Staker Scorecard:
1) Nick Jenkins - 70%
2) Simon Auckland - 20%
3) Steve Bayliff - 10%
When the tournament has concluded, if we find Jenkins has won £1,000 and Auckland has won £500 then your return would be 70% of £1,000 (£700) and 20% of £500 (£100), leaving you with a fantasy bankroll of £800 in total.
PrizeThe entrant with the highest Fantasy Bankroll at the end of the competition will win an option to purchase an entry for their chosen forum to the UK Team Championship scheduled for December (which will have 4 less teams than last year"s sold out event).
Please feel free to tell your forum friends to take part as getting a guaranteed entry to the UK Team Championship is likely to be at a premium.
In addition, there will be great bragging rights to be had in winning WCOAP Fantasy Staker; and demonstrating your knowledge of your fellow competitors at APAT!
Terms1) Members must enter their Fantasy Staker scorecard; in the above format, on this thread before midnight on Thursday August 27th.
