People calling for a misdeal when something has gone wrong in the deal. Most times it isn"t a misdeal - just carry on. Most hands that have been dealt won"t be good hands, so every bugger starts shouting misdeal and wanting to muck their cards. I usually try to rein them in by telling them that their hand is dead if they throw in their cards. Happened yet again on a cash table recently when I reraised preflop and the next player then discovered he had three cards. I said his cards are dead but the hand plays on. He said he doesn"t have to look at his cards until its his turn. Everyone else had junk and mucked their hands. Called for a ruling and the casino incorrectly ruled a misdeal.

Depends on the house rules, that could be a misdeal.

If you take Robert"s Rules (for example), if a player is dealt an extra card and action hasn"t taken place - then it"s a misdeal.  Action is considered to occur when two players after the blinds have acted on their hands.  So if you"re the only player to have acted when the extra card is discovered - it"s a misdeal.  If "action" has taken place, then it"s not a misdeal.

Someone had raised and I reraised. Then a player discovered he had three cards. Therefore the hand is live and its tough cheese for him. I expected to get some sense from the cardroom manager, although the dealer and all the players agreed it was a misdeal, but he just went with the flow, so all I could do was tell him he had made an incorrect ruling and show him his error the next day. Everywhere you go, players call for a misdeal at any opportunity, which is pure angle-shooting, to put it kindly.

I agree it was a bad ruling in this case - although it might well be their house rules.  That"s the problem with not having a consistent set of rules being enforced everywhere. 

I"m not sure everyone who claims it"s a misdeal is angle-shooting though.  Many just think that"s the way these things are dealt with.  Undoubtedly though, there are people who angle-shoot at every opportunity.  They need shooting.

Most of the residents of Compton are genetically predisposed to being able to run really fast.

You will have to shoot them in the leg to slow them down a bit to facilitate a nice clean job of lassoing them.

wow, there is so many bugs out there, i forgot to mention it was not pub poker, i had a vaccination and now immune to all the things that happen, i just try to make it a enjoyable experience, i have read and have to aggree that a lot of players dont know table etticate(my spelling is ropey) and believe that anything goes at the poker table, my opinion is that if you want to eat pizza, not shower and say stuff just to needle people then play online where i cant be affected (im joking, there should be etticate for online aswell).
