how about enabling them?
Let the members vote and express an opinion on things. Currently I think lots of suggestions, along with their support or argument, get lost in the light hearted banter that most threads evolve into.
Or... to avoid the potential of all manner of nonsense polls springing up. How about giving members the option to write to "APAT" with a request for a poll. The request should contain the question, the poll options and a reasoned case for said question. The poll could then be started by someone with "admin" rights.
