I think the two being at 40/1 is less to do with the odds BS think they have of winning, but more a reflection of the amount that has been bet on each of them to win it (probably by the players themselves).  The new odds are just a reflection of the action on them.

in the case of neil blatchly i believe this is true as its indicated on other forums he has backed himself. but as for ben turnstill the price is laughable, ben was put in at 40/1 and hasnt had a penny on himself nor as far as i know nobody else has either.

i hope not anyway because ben isnt actually playing. he perchased a seat a week or so ago hoping to but has since tranfered it to a friend. apat were informed a fair while ago and was hoping blue square might adjust there market accordingly.

Just for the record I have had a bet on 9 people including myself at 66/1

+1 - It would help the coffers at Blue Sq as there is queue of folks wanting to loose their wad backing me for some reason  ;)

LOL.  Thanks Paul.

I guess 40/1 is rather too short for Rooks then... ;)

Amends have been sent to Blue Square and they should be updating today.  No further amends will be sent as we will now be focussing on running the WCOAP.

Out of curiosity, did this get sorted, if so, at what odds, and who had the so-called "wads" to lose ?

And are they laughing now ?

Charles got one of the 6 additional seats late on, so wouldn"t have been on the original betting list

So I should get paid in full for backing Jamie as he was placed first out of everyone who BSQ offered. I cant help it if BSQ didn"t price up the winner. they didn"t even have a "any unnamed player" price.

Perhaps BSQ had "inside info" on Charles, and declined to offer a price??    ;)

This is going to sound bad but I had stream of relatives on Bank holiday Monday saying "What happened to my £2 E/W bet you said you would put on for me, you said you"d most probably be 200-1?" At least I have this thread for evidence, hope mods don"t delete it ever!
