Not that you are suggesting that an APAT weekend would be a waste of anyones weekend.   ;)

Feel free to embellish, adorn, beautify, make elegant, elaborate, emboss, overdo or just plain exaggerate, just tell the story

OK, ok... I took this girly travel set of chips with us to Dublin simply because it was small and light and convenient, as it says, for travelling.  As we left the UK we had an interesting time going through Customs as Bainn kept setting the personal alarm off and causing some concern - eventually it transpired it was his steel toe-capped boots.  So, on our return we were prepared for this and he sensibly removed his boots first and explained to the Customs Officers.  Bainn posed no problem with customs but my bag did and I was asked to step aside as they were concerned with the contents of my bag as shown in the x-ray machine.  Knowing there was nothing to worry about I happily let the young man look through the bag thinking, "oh, it"ll be the camera" and such thoughts... however nothing seemed to be solving the riddle until he put his hand on this very feminine pink holdall and looked at me somewhat sheepishly and asked if he could examine the contents, by which point Bainn and I had cottoned onto the chip set having raised the alarm and that we had a very self-conscious young Customs gentleman thinking he was about to cause a lot of embarassment opening a somewhat personal item... there was much relief (if I may use such a term) all round when he realised what the holdall contained! So it was all quite an amusing tale to end our most enjoyable trip to Dublin.

Alas, the trip to Blackpool, where these photos were taken, took place not long after and I, in rushing around between work and packing, just automatically threw this chipset in, being portable and having just recently used it for the Dublin trip, when, in fact, we were travelling by car and could have taken one of our decent proper chipsets as we usually do when travelling by car, doh!  Hence these guys having to play with pink chips...lol  Mind you, it took a female to even think of taking a chip set along -they didn"t! So they really have no reason to complain!  At least they could enjoy further games of poker in our team hotel. It was a very good w/e, despite the girly chips!

Right, having told the story trust you are all "satisfied" by now ;-)

(NB: Who needs any further "personal" items when they have Bainn...)

reminds me of my own similarly amusing tale on return from a trip to Amsterdam, only I didn"t have any poker chips in my case.

NB who needs a man when they have good personal items?

Well I hope to be at DTD on Thursday, Friday, & Sunday of this week, insterspersed with a dash down to London on Saturday to do the Sky Show. I"m doing filming with In-Poker on Sunday, so shall wear 2 hats, & I may have to do some "other stuff" on Thursday & Friday evenings, but I can"t wait to see the APAT crew again.

It"s a big dilemma for me, as I can"t be everywhere I want to, but I committed to a series of In-Poker with Sky Poker, & that"s every weekend for now.

Fortunately, my Bosses at Sky Poker & APAT are very understanding. Tight as a ducks you know whats, but understanding.....

Lol, I wish.

But no, I spend a lot of time Online as part of my role at Sky Poker, so I may need to do rev up my lappie for a few hours.

Whatever happened to retirement?
