We have our first exit

On a board of 2-9-5-3

Jon Garrett bets, Rich Hinds raises, Jon pushes, Rich calls

Jon 5-5-7-8

Rich 7-6-5-4

River 6

Jon wins with a straight to the nine.

I think.

Steve Redfern has made a good start, up to 13,300

Gerard Smyth - The Duke - beckons me over conspiratorially

"I can now die happy" he says

"I have won a pot at Omaha" he says, proudly

Resplendent in shiny Royal Blue, looking like County Cork"s answer to Dame Edna Everage.

Surprised she is still in, she says, but enjoying the experience as she tries to remember what cards she has, hand after hand

flopped a Queen high straight, got it in against Steve Redfern"s straight with redraws to the nut flush, which hit on the turn

Steven Scouse Bayliff is out

Most of the damage was done by Frances Creed

Scouse raised with 5-6-7-8

Fran called with A-A-K-9

Flop A-9-5

bet-call Action

Turn 4

More action, Scouse re-raises all in with his flopped wraparound

River 10

His stack did not recover thereafter
