I"ll be there with the good lady...
Although like yourself, I think the attendance might be thin on the ground...

No advertising at all (It"s not even on the Blackpool G Otcober schedule) ?

Anyone know if there is a minimum runners rule ?

I hope to go to the Blackpool event, but as I"ve posted in the other thread, I"m finding it very hard to even get confirmation that this event is taking place.

Would it be possible for APAT to get in touch with Blackpool directly to remind them that this is supposed to be happening  :o

Hi All

I can confirm that LEG 1 of the APAT Northern regional championship will be held at the G Casino in Blackpool. Last registration is 2:15pm with a 2:30 start. I hope to convert the regular £20 freezeout players to play the APAT rather than the afternoon game so we should have a regular base of around 30 -40 at the very least. Remember there is no registration fee!!!! Hope to see you all there.

As this Leg has been a bit haphazard in terms of short notice where we"re concerned, (due to our head office not getting us information out in good time) I have currently secured house dealers for 4 tables. I"m off to work now and will be doing my level best to get 1 or 2 more. It may well be that if we get 80 runners a few tables will have to be dealer dealt, however I will ensure that dealers are rotated so that no one table remains dealer dealt in the early stages.

Thanks Tom

I"ll post more information when I get back from work at 1:30am as to the state of play with the number of tables that will be dealer dealt tomorrow afternoon.

thanks for your efforts and the extra info tom. at least 4 dealers means the last half of the tourney will def be dealer dealt.

am i right in thinking the doors will open at 12pm for registration tomorrow?

Hi All

Confirmed 6 house dealers, (so long as there"s no sickies). So if it goes to 80 max then 2 tables will be self deal but we"ll rotate like I said previous.

Yes the casino will open at 12pm for registrations. 1st come 1st served is the policy. Alternates and late entries will only be allowed so long as it doesn"t go over the 80 max, eg: if there are 76 players an extra 4 can play so long as they join within the 1st 2 levels (this has come from our head of poker at Head office).

For those who aren"t members you will need to bring a from of I.D. preferably a photo card driving licence or passport or credit or debit card (but not solo). Those of you who appear or ARE under 21 WILL require photo I.D. and there are no exceptions to this. Depending on how busy reception is there may be a queue if there are a lot of new members so I advise those of you who fall into this category get there nice and early. Patience may well be the order of the day.

Hope to see you all tomorrow and good luck.

Tom

Agreed Leigh, I think it is fantastic that Tom takes the time to communicate in this way with his customers.  It"s how it should be.

Aw shucks.....enough already  :) Rest Assured the next Blackpool Regional will be advertised much earlier than this one and I plan to make sure we well and truly sell out! Saturday November 10th is the next one.....right at the start of the Blackpool Northern Lights (GUKPT LEG 10) as televised on channel 4. So bring yourself along, play the APAT and maybe play a single table satellite or 2.....who knows, you could end up on mainstream TV.
