Des has asked one of us to post the basics ... and, well, I"m here so ...

The Final will be an MTT

We are currently asking BlueSquare to set this up for us so you MAY not have to register - it will just appear in the Lobby.

The points system will work as;

20 places earn points (20th-1pt, 1st-20pts), the team with the most points will win the 4 GUKPT seats.

An official announcement and dedicated thread will be posted later.

As suggested earlier, will the 4 starting tables be one player from each team?

No, it"ll be a random draw ensuring all Walsall players land on the same starting table.

Further information relating to the APAT National League, Grand Final........

The tournament will be in the BlueSquare lobby this afternoon, and we"ve asked that all the players be pre-registered.

The final has been set up in the same format as previous Online Championships - MTT freezeout, but with 10,000 starting chips and 10 minute blinds.

Wow 10,000 chips! Can"t wait for this now, particularly as I have just been shut out of the GUKPT side event in Blackpool tonight, sold out at twelve today! Very disappointed, the plus point is I will have an extra £100 to splash about in Luton!!  ;)

It is now in the Blue Sq. lobby and I have checked and all the South London team are there.

Just one observation. This is a freeroll and therefore you could have the situation that someone could play for hours win the thing and yet due his/hers team mates poor finishing positions end up with nothing, not even BFH. Personally would have been happy to have paid to enter at least the winner/top finishers will have something to show for their efforts.

Oh and the blinds are set at 10 minutes?

not complaining about the above set up but does seem strange to play 20 tournaments at one format and then have the final in a completely different format

id also agree with a buy in for cash prize as that would help reduce team collusion

You think so? The main prize is a GUKPT main event seat, I don"t think anybody is going to put a $150 first prize before that, do you? Any way, of what collusion do you speak?
