Trick or Treat
« on: October 31, 2009, 19:54:54 PM »
I have lived at this address for nigh on 19 years now and tonight was by the far the best turnout by the usually snooty kids at the door. They really made an effort and some of the costumes were stunning. Hats off to them..

The volume of callers was also markedly higher as well - is this american custom getting a second wind ?

(wee man gutted nearly all the treats are gone)

I walked my two up and down the road and also thought the level of response and number of tricker treaters were both on the up.

There was one wee girl who was dressed as an Eqyptian Mummy and was swathed in bandages that must have take hours to put on, I was impressed I must say.

My 4 year old point blankly refused to dress up as a witch so she went trick or treating as cinderella (with fairy wings!).

ZERO trick-or-treaters at my door - same as the last two years. Electric fencing FTW ;)

Had a fabulous night with the kids, youngest wanted to be a cat, so cute! Eldest daughter a zombie cheerleader LOL and son a Zombie, we went with their friends round the streets and they got loads of goodies, it was definetely an UP on last year, they were delighted, had a great time dookin for apples and monkey nuts too.  I love halloween!

Have to say too, I was out with the kids tonite, and we all said loads more out than normal....and I mean by a long way.

The outfits were great too, much better than I remember seeing last year.  One house even went as far as the lady of the house, was in full dressed up witches outfit sitting behind a couldren in the front lawn....unreal.
